All mobile, athletic and big. Imagine these 3 with the 3 amigo's together.
I am obviously living in a dream, just like I was when I was calling for Hendo to go foward!!!!!!

Maybe the problem is the 3 amigos in that situation. A lot of clubs are hesitant to play 2 talls and resting ruck because it robs them of run over the 120 mins. Throw in 3 small forwards that cant really give us much as hard running onballers and we will run out of puff like north do. Perhaps if we could get more midfield Kms from our small forwards we could cover for the extra tall.

The good clubs pull it off. Hawks, Cats and Swans to an extent. Not sure we are there yet system wise. Our gameplan to me still looks too taxing and inefficient. Hawks , cats and swans kicking skills and system saves them a lot of petrol tickets i reckon.

Its something we can explore when our season is done and dusted in 2 weeks time though. I would also try Duigan as the other target. He looks to be training up for it. Last ditch effort.

I'll be in Queenstown for this game.

Probably a good sign, because I haven't gone to the last 3 games and we've won them all.

I'd actually prefer Waite in defence and I think that's where he will go.

Henderson has proved he can be a very consistent forward and should stay there.

IMO Henderson up forward with Casboult or Rowe is our best option.

Send Waite to defence. It's where he played his best and most consistent football and along with Walker, Tuohy, Simpson & McInnes could form a top class backline.

Yep, MM mentioned Waite's experience as a backman.

I agree, mainly because Hendo has been so good as a forward I'd be pissed off if he goes back when Waite gets fit. Hendo is a consistent key forward with all the tricks and is 6 years younger than Waite. I would though like to see how Waite goes as second banana in the forward line.

I think when Waite comes back it must be either as a half forward flank leading opposition out of our 50m arc or as a KPP down back. He will be more than handy to have as it means we can mix things up a bit within a game as well but he is not someone we can build an attack around.

With McInnes still injured & now Duigan suspended for 2wks I'm hoping Mick doesn't entrust Davies to return. Mayne would have a field day.

In: Casboult & Graham
Out: Rowe & Cachia

I reckon either Walker or Gibbs will need to take Mayne, take him out of the game and it will go along way to winning the game.

Anyone hearing that Lucas might not come up this week? Might open the door for Graham

I believe Waite's at his most valuable as a lead up forward and one of our best contested marks through the middle and on the wing for link up play. Putting him in defence robs us of that.

Let us not forget it has been... what... years since he played down back? I don't see him going down there for any great length of time.

I think it's a bit of smoke from MM. Waite is not going down to be playing out of the back line.

No, I'd rather we let him settle for this season in the backline before we start throwing him around...

We are at our best when Waite is playing forward. That is a proven fact.

Unfortunately that doesn't happen often.

Maybe cut our losses and see if we can change the mix by throwing him back to CHB. Maybe just maybe he can string some games together there and hold down the position. Although I think he first knee reco injury was when he was playing CHB so who knows he could just get hurt there too.

We have missed defensive marks since Henda has been forward. Perhaps Waite can make up for that. Could be worth a shot.

I've gotta find a new London venue to watch this game. The pub I usually watch it at has put up their prices to £4.75 a pint!!!!!! (you can buy the same pint next door for £3.75!!!! Bastards!)

Fast moving, speed and mobile players on every line will win it.

Waite is out this week but would love to have Waite and Hendo forward and I can't see the issue with Warnock (against a part time Sandilands) mixing it with Kreuzer.

It's not that I prefer 3 talls forward. It's because I prefer the Waite and Hendo combo fwd and if we can make Waite 3rd tall the opposition is in trouble more so than him as a KPD despite the fact he's proven to be a great CHB....he's too dangerous forward to leave him out...leave the back line s dfensive set up to the midfielders supporting Jammo Watson and Walker with the smaller Tuohy Simpson and Scotland.

Waite though ain't playing this weekend.

I'm in the Warnock and Hammer camp for the 2 nd ruck when need be....and prefer Levi over Rowe...when Rowe ain't moving well and last week he was a burden to carry IMO.

Keep the speed up and give Waite some injections

Do I really need to point out the obvious solution?

WOW - club, no faith it seems.

As for the 3 small forwards vs midfield run. I don't agree. We have 3 rotations off the bench to use for midfield rest. Small forwards & backs do just as much running as midfielders, especially when we ask them to keep the ball in our forward line. We all know our "main" midfielders are not the best at this task as well.

I would prefer Gibbs, Simpson, McLean, Murphy, Judd, Carrazzo, Robinson, Curnow, Cachia, etc going 100% on-ball and then resting on the bench to follow that up again. Occassionaly we could send them forward to give an amigo a run or rest but lets play our guys in their respective positions and give ourselves every opportunity.

Is "amigo" the new word for "aborigine"?
