Sorry if this is actually been dealt with in another thread but there seems to be so many versions of what his contract is. Correct me if i'm wrong but i thought he signed for $410K + $40K from marketing budget. I keep hearing 'at least $500K'!

Yeah, it does keep changing, kinda like the fish that got away. ;)

The Age: Fevola signs new deal with Blues
23 June 2005

Quote:
…The club announced yesterday that it and the spearhead had agreed to a three-year deal to keep him at the club until the end of the 2008 season. It is believed to be worth between $1.2 million and $1.3 million over the contract's life.

The figure is substantially lower than the $500,000 a year the full-forward was believed to have been fielding from rival clubs but, according to sources close to the player, the stumbling block in contract negotiations was not money but the number of years Carlton was willing to offer…

…While yet to prove beyond doubt he can consistently lead the club on the field, Carlton recognised Fevola's value as a marketing tool off the field and wrote into the contract a marketing component that is almost certain to have him take over as "the face" of Carlton from the ageing Anthony Koutoufides.

It was unclear yesterday whether the contract also included performance- or goal-based clauses but it is unlikely to restrict his regular appearances on The Footy Show, despite the misgivings of coach Denis Pagan and Collins…

About 400k but after about 3 years of ridiculing him for being overpaid it will blow out to about 650k.
