Well they keep playing him fwd in NB right? If so then not sure he can take McInnes' spot. Still agree he has been unlucky for a side 8-8.

Great. All we need is a repeat of the Dunstall/Shaw bias in the box from a few weeks back and we'll be holding a full house.

That's if he wants to end up getting a tap on the shoulder from Hampson...I don't think he will use his hand to tap him on the shoulder either...

Armfield sub for me. I reckon he will come on late to keep the speed up and he seems to have been playing under a bit of duress lately.

Which of Mick's daughters did Laidler screw to keep missing out on a game?

Beautiful work again by the MC. The perfect opportunity to try something ... to show a bit of boldness ... and what do we get ... Bootsma who I think has had a fair run this year.

Jeremy Laidler ... you will be a great defender for another club ... goodbye mate.
Menzel/Graham/Buckley ... it might take a couple of years ... but you will eventually get opportunities.

The MC is crap ... its been that way for 4 or 5 years ... and its even worse with the super duper coach.

In defense of the MC, a Coll supporting mate said MIck more times than not would develop kids in the VFL and not blood them until they were ready

Bucks is still light on physically and aside from that first kick goal struggled to do much else in his debut; Graham missed a lot of footy through injury this year and Menzel missed even more and of course has those knees

Cachia on other hand is mature age and a bull

Maybe with Bootsma it's more a sign that they see key defense as a problem area and therefore they play Boots out of necessity

In contrast maybe they feel the midfield is still OK, maybe Mick is backing in the Carrazzos and Judd's etc. and let's not forget they are blooding Lucas who albeit soft has nonetheless stepped up this year

I don't see the harm in making sure the kids in midfield are right before getting elevated. Bucks clearly wasn't ready earlier this year

That said, I reckon Graham would survive in the seniors. But then the MC are more qualified than I

well in that case, you'd think Laids for Bootsma then? Unless Laids is still sore from the last surgery.
Reports were he played well in defence last week.

I wasn't a big fan of the Malthouse appointment either mate, but time to move on.
