Unfortunately Kruezer's ruckwork hurts us. We need to play him forward as the no.2 man and get Warnock in the middle.
I love the guy but he's tap work is far from good. I still thinks he wants to rove to his ruck work. :screwy:

our midfield set up is shit.

our midfield coach needs a smack in the head.

No doubt. The best part of the next day after a win. Wookies streams!

I don't think we gave enough credit to Watson for his game. He did well and can grow from here!
No doubt we'll have his down days but persist Mick.
I also get the feeling we are on the verge of putting something special together. Not sure why ....

Didn't realise there was a second incident between Touhy and Ziebel.

Interesting Brad Scott claims he didn't see it or know what the journo was talking about, and then made the comment on him being lucky its not the 70's.

Were you taking your brother back with you to the 70's to hold your hand before you confronted him Brad? I think Zach might have a couple of guys to back him up back then too.

You could tell Kanga supporters would blame the umps. They wanted frees for everything.

Tuohy was giving Ziebell shit when he came back on and mimed kicking him in the leg. I think that's what he's referring to. Nothing in it, just some trash talking. You come back on, you're fit to play.

Who the hell was playing on Thomas? Gave him too much room, especially with those cheap goals. Wish someone would line the little shit up.

One thing Mick has to work on is giving our players a method of locking the game down.
In the last, North was crowding our forward line, leaving their F50 open and haveing players run on to the ball kicked forward. We were left with Watson and Jamo back, giving us no chance.

Needed to have someone like Walker playing loose, someone who can chase and cut off leads.
If North man him up, bring someone else back to cover them, get their forward line as crowded as possible.
As it was we were sitting ducks.

Jamo did OK on Petrie one on one but his fumbling and poor disposal costs goals.

Didn't you see his game vs the Saints and Collingwood. He was poor last night but so were the other 6 around him. He is past his best but he is still our best. what's your point? Do you want him dropped to bring in a VFL player? He has signed a 1 yr contract. He has done the right thing by the club.

Tuohy has been kicking a goal a game the past few weeks, last night he got two.

Malthouse has given him a bit of licence to push forward, Ratten on the other hand would allow Tuohy to dragged and tied down deep in defence. Malthouse allows players to use their strengths, soon Tuohy will start to run and carry a lot more.

There was even one point late in the last quarter where Watson pushed forward and was lurking near Walker at around 55 metres out, Watson only half heartedly asked for the ball, but at least Watson was in a position to cause some damage with his kick.

Ratten stifled flair and creativity out of all his non-favourite players, his philosophy was "give it to the champ"

Yep, that's the issue. I actually don't agree with Doc that he's a bad player. I don't think he's a bad player. I think he's an ordinary player, an average player who's totally overrated by most Carlton supporters. He's this decade's Thornton. In a good team, he'd be third tall or a depth KPD. But we seem to build our defence around him because we think we somehow unearthed a hidden champion that no-one else saw. And yes, our defence isn't yet set up properly so that he gets the assistance he should. However, that's not our big problem. The big problem is his fumbling, poor decision making, and poor execution under pressure.

He's much more than Thornton. He's solid, not brilliant. Asked to do a big job every week. Might give away say 4 goals at times but wins enough one on ones to prevent them from being bags of 7 or 8. Anyway, he's the best we've got, especially with Henderson forward.

#unlucky

Apart from the Norf focused article, had to laugh at the typo in the paper copy I have of this article which says "Henderson, clearly Malthouse's best forward taller than 18 centimetres"

Don't think the mosquito fleet were that small

Loved the win btw
