So who's that leave forward????

Either way we only have one tall fwd. Which doesn't work.

I was kind thinking if they needed to switch Hendo fwd at any stage Rowe could cover down back.

From memory last time we played we went in too top heavy. This time we have a team of midgets.
Im confused.

..played the 3 rucks last time, though Krooz was obviously rushed back after only missing 3 weeks from the badly broken thumb.. ..which was originally meant to be 4-6 weeks, then just 4.. ..and then we gloved him and rushed him on, and we could see he wasn't ready.. ..MC stuff-up, as was playing Yazz after hammy tightness.. ..Ellard [was it?] getting injured early didn't help but accidental..

..saints last game showed us what we really were like.. ..those battling losses against superior teams were heartening, but papered over the team's other issues.. ..smashed them in the hitouts and clearances, i think we took more marks around the ground and more inside 50.. ..but they out tackled us, out muscled us, and wanted the ball much more than we did.. ..that, and us being a shambles up fwd bombing it to McEvoy also didn't help, nearly pinching an unlikely victory once Hendo moved fwd and kicked 3?, and set up a couple more..

..this is a team [like hawks] that bullies us every time, and has for too many years.. ..i want us to smash into them, i don't care about win/lose, i don't care about suspensions and fines..

..hope we change Robbo out, cos he'll understand what needs to be done but he's playing with a stuffed shoulder/collarbone.. ..needs to be rested.. ..it's cos we're a soft team that we're still harder playing an injured robbo in the line-up, vs swapping him with a fit player.. ..says it all really..

Not sure that makes it impossible for him to ever play in the back half.

But anyway hopefully he gives us more than MIA Casboult.

Reckon Watson will come in for Armfield.

Was thinking Betts to miss with his hip

..generally the 'resting ruck' would stay deep in the fwd 50, and be the deep marking target close to goal.. ..if a backup ruck is playing in a key position, fwd or back it takes too much energy.. ..but at least fwd you're to a certain point, dictating terms.. ..any fwd with half a brain that has the backup ruck playing a key defensive role on them, would just run them off their feet so they'd be useless when they were called upon to relieve the ruckman.. ..and the ruckman, would then after carrying the majority of the ruckload, move down back to mind a kpf.. ..madness..

Would've been the ideal game to try 1 or 2 of Graham, Menzel, Buckley.

People are complaining about us being too small.
How would picking these guys have solved that problem ?

Any chance that Betts or Robo may misss and Casboult will come back into the side? That would then give us Casboult to change in the ruck with Kreuzer and Rowe or Henderson for the key posts forward and back.

We clearly went into last weeks game one tall short and Waite going down early exposed this.

Unless we are dumb ( ) I'm pretty sure we are going to make a late change and bring in another tall.

My major concern is that St.Kilda have clearly set themselves for this game - how we respond is the key.

I don't want to see us get off to a flier and get overhauled and pantsed (like last week) I don't want to see us play 3 solid quarters and see us get overhauled in the last with a 3 goal honourable loss.

How about for the first time this year 4 quarters of honest football, working hard both ways.

And beating this pissant of a club after they throw everything at us so those wang holders and therapists trudge off the field knowing they really were not good enough.

What about Watson coming in from the emergencies and playing down back, then freeing up Hendo to play forward? I believe we need another ruckman to come in like Warnock

I think we'll win easy.

Still not sure about those odds though.

Given that there will be no booing of Milne because the AFL has said as much, then speaking purely hypothetically would booing have only come from the Blues supporters?

The debate was over 3 ruckmen, not 3 talls.

Correct

Instead of stretching their vertically challenged back line with real KP's (good time to try 2 of either Rowe, Watson,Mitchell or,Casboult) it looks like we will play their game of under 9's football.

If anyone of our talls goes off injured we will he very unbalanced and all they will have to do is send Stanley up forward and he will ream us like Reid did last week.
