in 2011 we were knocked out of the finals by the 2010 wooden spooner who is around where were at today....

bottom line is after 12 years in the doldrums our club too us to 1 eliminational finals win whilst our window was open.

right now our list is shredded to ribbons.... completely off whack.. recruitment and development under the pump

but noone asks why we are here? hoq did we get here??

ask yourselves that!!!

mediocre football club from top to bottom!!!

I do not buy that, you are delusional, MM on all that money should have fixed that in 9 months.

Do you really agree that a fit Warnock and Kruezer are the best AFL combination? I'm saying bottom 2-3. The game has changed since Warnock started. No place for him now. It's no even a combination when a fit Warnock can't even get a game.

Oh ok. Well validated.

Correct, we were 5th by default. There were 5 competent football teams that year. Everyone else were a basket case or in rebuild mode. We were talented, but undersized, unbalanced and flaky. The peak of this list. And the club thought we had the goods to win a flag

According to Cazzesman... not one person is in charge of our list.... alot of people are in charge of the list.... so you cannot pin one of them down to the disaster...

We need a list manager... but only if the independent review of the footy club states they dont know what theyre doing... and we need one...!!!....

What would we give up for Boyd and jaksch???
Two key forwards for the next ten years...
I hope we chase Kieran Harper, the kid can play.
Mitchell needs to play the last 8 games to see if worth
keeping, just give him a go, you never no, would hate
for him to get delisted without having the opportunity
that others have had..
Synbad, you make some great statements, agree with
your views mate....
Also play menzel, Buckley and graham, get games into
them please.
Massive changes come seasons end, bring it on..

What bothers me is that we too many people learning on the job; first ratts, andy mckay, rogers, ... Success will come about when the right people come together and the right culture is developed. Ceo is responsible for all these positions ultimately. I know he has been tarnished but Ian Robson might be worth pursuing.

If our top, say, 25-30, wore red and white and were playing there the last few years I'm sure they'd be top 4. Comes down to an ability to develop, which the Swans do brilliantly in spades. They recruit better than us too.

i think if some of our players were at other clubs it would be ok for them

clubs can absorb one or two each club

but we have a bunch of similar types with flaws all in the one team... no one team can absorb so many

and yes there is a lack of leadership also

I recall Collingwood (with MM as coach) used to be misers at trading and always seemed to want a lot but were never prepared to give away anything decent in return, Nick Stevens, J Brown, Judd all come to mind, Coll could have had Judd but were not willing to sacrifice players to make it happen, we did.

In my opinion if MM wouldn't make that call for Judd he wont be sacrificing a combination of Krooz/Yarran/Gibbs types for an untried 17 year old. No chance in hell. That would set us back 3 years.

You're assuming Mick had the final say there.

If we dont get involved in trading aggressively for what we need it will set us back a lot more than 3 years

MM also identified holes in Collingwood's list and recruited Jolly & Brown and as a result won them a flag.

Mick also traded out Tarrant, Mal Michael and Rhys Shaw, to name a few.

Jim agree with the spirit, but don't you contradict yourself ie if the swans recruit better tHan we do (which I agree with), not sure our top 25-30 would be good enough

Mick is very smart and calculated.

I know a part of his decisions not play a few players has to do with the money they are being paid compared to their lack of out put but.......

Playing the likes of Laidler, Duigan and Hampson would have probably won us a extra game or two but is that the result Mick really wants?

I believe the position we are in something Mick has set out to achieve. This means now most supporters can accept that we need a mini rebuild where as plugging a few holes with Laidler and Duigan would only continue the wrong path we've been on which clearly thinks isn't good enough.
