We will smash them.

There will be a reshuffle after a deep and meaningful week.

Yaz back to HBF. Gibbs also.

Hampson will come in as a ruck. Kruezer will play forward and so will walker and Laidler.

Armfield or Curnow will get dropped and Menzal will come in. Maybe one of betts or garlett will go for Graham.

Mcinnes Jamo Yaz
Gibbs Henda Touhy
Lucas Mclean Simpson
Walker Laidler Robbo
Garlett Krooz Betts

Hampson Murphy Carrazzo

Int:- Menzal Cachia Judd Curnow

In:- Hampson Menzal Laidler

Out:- Waite Casboult Armfield

Expect a big exciting turn around.

Still see a culling at seasons end.

Guaranteed defeat with those key forwards. Decent chance Waite will be fit plus Casboult's shown something at times and must be persisted with. He did well in his first 3 games back. To go back to ruckmen in the goalsquare is a backward step. I'm happy to play 2 ruckmen as purely ruckmen, one resting in a FP, and let Casboult run around at CHF. Waite or Henderson at FF.

Menzel and Graham definitely in. Also want far less tagging. Does nothing for getting any run and by extension, nothing for the forward line.

mitchell has kicked 10 in the last 4 games, didn't kick one last week, played casey who is on top.
we have tried casboult, he can't kick, can't run nor can't defend.
we have tried hampson, another one who can't kick.
we have tried rowe, can kick but thats all.
why not try mitchell, may surprise us, but worst case if he can't get near it [after 4/5 games], come seasons end he will be delisted.
for me this week,
laidler jamison tuohy
walker mcInnes gibbs
simpson carrazzo lucas
yarran henderson graham
menzel mitchell garlett
kreuzer judd murphy
mclean armfield bell sub;buckley at least he will have a crack..
waite/betts/robinson injuries.
curnow/cachia/casboult back to northern for some form.
cachia bit stiff but reckon bell deserves a chance.
casboult needs a spell and mitchell needs a few games to see if worth keeping.
just my thoughts.

Mitchell has kicked nothing for two games in a row. No chance he plays. Casboult might do better purely as a key forward, CHF, without the rucking hurting his tank. Just pick 2 ruckmen and two key forwards.

Like to see:

Menzel, Graham, Buckley get valuable game time.
Yarran play in defence.
Henderson up forward with Rowe in defence
Laidler given a good run
Duigan for leadership value
Tuohy on the ball

plus
Bell, Temay, Bootsma when they are fit and ready.

I hope that puts a line through any thoughts about us trying to land Gumbleton.

Kosie's 200th, Milne's return and Riewoldt refreshed after a week off= we're cooked. If they man-handle us again, as the great Terry once said, "I'll spew up." Play like you've got a pair Blues.

jim,
you happy with casboult and he's output?
why not give mitchell a few games? could not do any worse than casboult.....
casboult has do nothing since the Essendon* game two years ago.
give mitchell 4/5 games this year and if he doesn't perform then delist him, but at least give him a go...
do not see why we would not give him an opportunity, 4 years on the list for one game.
do not give a s$&t if he has done nothing all year for northern, but GIVE him a chance.
now that we will not be playing finals, its time to see were mitchell, watson and dale are at, mccarthy may play the last couple.
menzel, buckley and graham should be playing the last 8 games.
play watson, mitchell and dale, if no good then delist them, give them a few games in a row.
joseph, collins, rowe, davies, o'keeffe[to many injuries], white, ellard, hampson, casboult and duigan have all had there opportunities.

My theory is he's not going to shine in the twos. He's dispirited. let's see how he goes. Nothing to lose surely?

I think that's a fair call bg, but play him in defense. One thing we seem to be missing this year is the so called "third man up" in defence.
When they were travelling well Duigan and Laidler did this well. This year there seems to have been a lot of one out battles in
our defensive 50m. Hendo and Jamo have generally done pretty well, but some team support would be nice.

It doesn't look like Yarran, Walker, Armfield, Scotland, Tuohey or anyone else who's been played in the backline is playing this role.

I think that 2e and walks have been great, but yeah..3rd man up in defence would be great.

he can go up forward sometimes if needed too.
Look...many think he's lost it post op, and I just want to give him one more try before that's decided.
