Some poor bugger sitting behind me came all the way from Perth to watch the game. Felt sorry for him.

yes, perhaps I was a little generous with the ok comment, he tried, but really didn't have that much impact. Got caught a few times

I think he is flying under the radar. What a terrible decision CFC made on him. Just get him back to being a gun player. Not a captain.

good summary, so what is he going to do about it?
this crap kicking the ball sideways and zig zagging all over the ground is rubbish.
Go straight down the middle for goodness sake. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Wayne Hughes better not be on our recruiting panel as he has a lot to answer for in so far as compiling this list!!!! Would have to have the worst record during his tenure as Head of Recruitment!!!!
:thanks: :donk: :thanks: :donk:

7 players - originally rookie listed - in our starting 22 tonight.
35 Ed Curnow
37 Jaryd Cachia
38 Jeff Garlett
40 Michael Jamison
41 Levi Casboult
42 Zach Tuohy
44 Andrew Carrazzo

7 players picked in the regular draft who cant get a game - 4 of them are the equivalent of (or close to) a first round draft pick
mitchell,
watson,
mccarthy,
buckley,
menzel,
warnock,
hampson

:?

The rookies should be the icing on the cake not the cake itself.

Our list has been severely imbalanced for a long time.

Long way back from here.

Wouldn't say he is flying under the radar, but I do agree that Murph and captaincy have not been a good fit

If you drop him nowit will be worse than electing him in the first place.

Look at the way we play.
We play a brand of football that is to save a game more so than to win it by overly tagging and our line of attack.
Our attack is based on a pure hit and miss method of erratic and fortunate goals.
We haven’t got a system of making space for a leading forward and creating space for each other or setting up the best angle for accurate shooting.
Our set shots haven’t been addressed by judging the run up of players.
We don’t defend on the outside of stoppages so when we lose the ball we are caught flat footed.
Our midfielders more than most are just rushed on their extracting without purpose and don’t work to create a worthwhile possession.
All this cannot be blamed on the previous coach.
Before anyone says its Rattens list well Port had a different coach last year with the same list.
Adelaide was much the same the year before.
There comes a time when we stop passing the buck and expect some answers from the head coach, seeing he’s in charge now.

We've been expecting some answers from the club for over ten years! You would think issues with the head coach pale in comparison.

Forward line setup was a disgrace when Waite went off. How the flower we expect to win with small forwards only is beyond me. Joke of a setup. Magpies defence had a field day picking us off. I'm sick of seeing such setup.
Our midfield is and has been setup with taggers and no ball winners. Joke of a structure. Simpson is wasted back. Flowering joke.

Errrrr have u seen our much lauded midfield??? :screwy:

We have noone to bring in and its old...!!!

Thats what you get when you take your eyes off the footy.. and have as someone described him as barman/ baren as a recruiter/s...

We had our full midfield in this week.. unless youre looking at Graham 1st year player...

Slaughtered!!!...

But then how could we practice our leading to the boundary line, not to mention threading the eye of the needle.

Have no leaders. Haven't had any for years. Need some extroverts in this group. Trade for or draft some winners. A lot of this group except defeat too easily. Pretty sad really.

No not drop him. Murph is class. However I'm sure he even thinks deep down he is not ready. Watching him in the second half running around arms outstretched waiting for a touch.......is this our captain???? Mind you his predecessors weren't much chop.

I have no respect left for these players. They have no respect for themselves, the jumper or the club. Why should I bother?
