I got Section M row L on the 50 metre line last night, 7 tickets. Some may not think that's decent but it's better than Q, especially for the kids :)

Flying down from Darwin for this game, my only opportunity to see The Blues in action this year. Hope we give the Caringbush a flogging.

Good girl, wonder how long it takes them to discover the sticker.

My flog neighbour with the leafblower-at-9am-Sunday obsession has a couple of Filth stickers on the front windows of his house (surprisingly given he's an OCD cauliflower about everything else)

Itching to beat them so I can stick up a few of my own on his fence

I cant for the life of me work out how they sell these tickets. A bit of luck it seems, the earlier you buy the tickets the worse they are.
Take some poncho's.

The AFL just try to maximise the ticket revenue.

They don't seem to believe in the 'First in Best Dressed' philosophy.
Nor do they believe in rewarding club members who stump up membership cash with access to decent seats.

If there are cruddy seats that will be hard to sell, the AFL release those seats first, so that they can be certain of selling the nosebleeds.

Meanwhile they drip-feed and charge top dollar for the decent seats, and I am convinced that often they exclude those good seats from the "club membership upgrade" ticket category, so that you have to pay $30 or $40 or whatever it is to get a decent seat.

It's all about making sure they can maximise revenue. They don't care who gets what seat.

A lot of the time it's just pot luck to get the seats you want.

Ticketek/Ticketmaster don't care as long as they get their fee for each seat.

Resigned ourselves to another 'competitive loss' it seems.

Think the wet will help us... as long as we play smart.
We have better & more contested mids, our big forwards don't mark and kick goals anyway and our runners should be able to outrun opponents to scrappy kicks forward...

I'd basically play our talls across half back and centre and they have 3 jobs:
1) punch/ricochet anything in the air forward (ie. 20m forward...)
2) anything on the ground kick forward off the ground
3) use big body to help create space around the ball either for our smalls & inside players, where the kick forward is not on

The fast players then run forward, beat their opponents to the ball and if enough time, pick it up - this is the same from full back all the way to full forward.

The forward line comes up to the edge of the square and runs towards goal chasing balls kicked over the top or past them along the ground.

2 handed fists forward. Except Henderson who is allowed to go for the mark. ;-)

In: Carrazzo, Murphy, McInnes
Out: Bootsma, White, Betts.

Is it really going to be raining at the G on Friday night?

Is that why Lynch might be rested? or is it because he's been shithouse since the Carlton game.

The weather will determine who is selected. So there must be uncertainty about the weather hence only an 8 page thread???

Really think we can stretch them on a dry track on the ground and in the air despite Buckley hoping the players to "spike" in form for this game.

Reid's hammies wont enjoy a heavy track, then again his height and marking prowess will be useless if he plays. So, will it rain?
Not knowing doesn't give me any grounds to have an opinion on whether Reid plays or not.

Bell....and his big body will be handy.

Murphy might come in.

Carrazzo?

GOTTA WIN.....rain, hail or shine....rain in Melb couldn't as heavy as it was in Sydney on Friday.
Sydney storms are like Tropical cyclones.

GOTTA win.

We were pathetic in the wet last week, cant see how it will be any different this week.

Yazz, Garlett and Betts love the dry weather.....

Bring in Bell, and Graham I reckon........
