Therein lies the difference. I can't see us beating any of Collingwood, Essendon*, Freo, Richmond or Norf (I'm dubious on GC, StK and Port too to be honest, and tipped us without total confidence).

I'm very jilted by our performances this year in "must-win games", and don't believe the team this year has what it takes. Next year I'm sure will be a different story though.

i think we are developing well and expect to be pleasantly surprised in the second half of the season - especially coming up against teams for the second time who we only just lost to the first time.

i have us beating coll, ess, freo and rich but losing to north - beating GC, saints and port

He's optimistic that we will lose to Nth.

Well ... We tend not to match up well against North ... kind of the way we don't match up well against the Saints.

Hey ... I desperately want us to win all of those games ... as much as I think the appointment of MM was a bad one ... my love for the Carlton FC goes back 45 years ... I sit on the edge of my seat every week and hope Carlton wins ... no matter who is coaching ... so I resent the TROLL comment.

By the way my optimistic view did give us 14 games.

Reckon we'll drop them to Port and North. Win the rest. Would be surprised if we play anyone but Collingwood or Essendon* first week.

just did the ladder predictor thing

finished with:
Hawks
Cats
Swans
Freo
Pies
Essendon*
Carlton
Richmond

eagles 3 games behind us and 2 behind tigers, so we really should make it with room to spare. I had us beating both the pies and bombers though, so that puts us 1 game ahead of 9th

I reckon 7.50 for Freo to win the flag is well overs. Especially after Geelong's capitulation yesterday. Basically if they avoid Hawks at the G in the first week, reckon they're good things.

- I'm confident we'll knock off St Kilda - the players will be keen to make amends and surely the MC won't make the same mistake again of selecting 3 ruckman and a player under a fitness cloud.
- North will be out of contention for the finals so we should be able to knock them off.
- We should beat one of either Essendon* or Richmond. It would be unusual for us to lose to both sides twice and we are a better side than Richmond and the equal of Essendon*.

12 Wins.

Other than me changing yours to " a real chance", I feel the same way.
Minimum 8 wins which will give us 14 wins.
Should be able to scrape into the 8 with 13 wins plus percentage this year.

Watch this space cimm.....tick tick tick.....are your fingers crossed?....toes?....I live in hope.
Anything is poassible. I think min 7 games and wouldn't be surprised with 8, 9 or 10 in a row.
No one knows what makes this team tick or when it will just click into place.
What I've seen in the last 2 games was heartbreak for the supporters but also for the players.

Those last 2 losses didn't kill us. They should make us stronger though.

One week at a time....gotta get over the reigning premier on their home ground on the rebound. A win against them will be a scalp and give us belief.

Port winning two games no one thought they would has made it pretty hard. Come on AFL, you don't want Port in the finals, throw in a few dodgy umpiring decisions in their next few games.

Personally I think the Bombers game really [REDACTED] us up as to win that one would have been a real confidence boost, and we never should have lost in the first place.

However we only play teams around us or below us from now so anything is possible.
