Not convinced about the Scott bros.

One had one of the greatest sides of all time that allowed him to play a style that not many teams can get away with.

His bro, with 1/3 the talent on the list, tries a similar style and gets his pants pulled down. His team is also looking a little chunky, a lot like the Dockers pre Lyon.

I hope Mick's email to the members this week provides explanation why Eddie Betts did not play for the Northern Bullants during the bye.

Injury and suspension has made him very under done.

The following should also have been playing for the Northern Blues during the bye.

Yarran ... how much footy has he played in the last month ?

Bootsma ... needed more footy in his hands and confidence.

Casboult ... one week means is like 3 weeks ... similar to Hampson ... have to maintain continuity.

Agree with this.

Due to the fact we're trying to mix a new coaching style with a lot of players and (some borderline useless) support staff remaining who shouldn't/wouldn't be there if not for contracts, there's no surprise to me that we've stagnated while others have moved past us.

I'll be judging Mick on our 2013 post-season and 2014 season moreso than our current efforts.

Who was the assistant coach that Mick was giving a bake to early in the game?.

The guy sitting next to MM was doing his best to look like a chair.

I don't know, I just saw them (the commentators) talking and showing some footage of MM making a point rather directly.

..Malty shows us what we've missed by waiting too long to get a very good coach to the club.. ..it's the missed opportunity, but some good list changes at the end of this year will help us make up lost ground..

It was either Wiley or Brad Green (midfield) from memory.

Bootsma might be a footballer, Lucas won't be

I'm all for giving players a decent run to prove themselves... but surely the call has to be made on Lucas now

It would be but lack of running midfielders / wingmen in the VFL doesn't help.

I don't think he will get there but I think we need to persist.

Given the limited well of talent in the 2nds he is here to stay until maybe Graham is ready.

Guy on ABC radio today, I think it was Parkin, said that he heard Mick speak to a coterie group this week.

Mick said that 25% of the team picked to play the Swans were not good enough to be in the next Carlton
premiership team. This is 25% of our best 22 and watching the 2's today ...

Me thinks that there might be some serious list changes at Carlton end the end of the season.

(Is this worth a whole thread ... I dunno. Couldn't think where else to put it. Feel free to comment or ignore).

At a guess;
Lucas, Bootsma, Scotland, Curnow, Casboult, White.
I will say Scotland is the half due to his age.
