Awful, awful day. Losing Armstrong and Keogh was tragic., different story with those 2 in the side. John O'Connell rushed back into the side after weeks and weeks out?. Big Nick flattened, Southby and Waite got smashed by Balme and we never recovered. Kevin Hall played a great game as did Crane, Craig Davis had a shocker after starring for most of the season. We had a chance at the start of the last, scored a couple of quick ones, Wallsy hit the post and had another one touched on the line? but then those pricks settled. Hated Richmond with a passion for years after that.

Cattogio had shocker too. Brent Crosswell wrote a very good story about Vinny and that game as part of a book of called ' The Australian Game' from memory. it took Vin years to recover his confidence as a footballer after that game. At half time according to Crosswell, Silvagni senior threw a piece of an orange at him and called him a weak c*nt or words to that affect.

nah, never put a limit on maintaining the rage. balme should never have played footy again after that. always relish their misfortune over the years.
