Extremely disappointed by the poor body work and distinct lack of any physical impact/presence from Rowe and Casbolt. The amount of times they couldn't even 1/2 a contest was one of the reason we got rolled in the end. Jeffy has been a star all year but tonight he was MIA.

In the end the class prevailed and the clutch moments were missed by the Carlton forwards.

Bloody hell CM, think your being a bit harsh on Bolt

Okay 1st half but watch his 2nd half in particular when in 3 or 4 aerial contest in a row he couldn't get his hands on the ball and it was rushed away. According to the Radio he had 8 possession to half time then none thereafter.

He is a work in progress but tonight he needed to 1/2 the contest to create something for Jeff and Eddie.

Regards Cazzesman

Was against three in a lot of those situations. Stratton/Lake/Gibson crowded him and we still kicked it to him.

I just saw those 3 incidents on foxfooty. The 1st 2 he could and should have made some body contact but missed completely and the 3nd was 2 on 1 so I will give him the benefit.

Regards Cazzesman

That's what happens when your key leads there most of the time.

They're leading to the only space available in the 50.

Need to devise a structure that allows the occasional open area in the hot spot.

God knows we see it happen against us enough.

Is John Barker doing a good job?

Effes, on the face of things it's easy to say no, he's not.

But Mick has the final say and if he's not happy with how the forward structure is working, it's ultimately his responsibility to fix it.

Says it all really - as much as you could say without it costing you $20,000 and being asked to apologise to the disgraceful maggots and then for the entire incident to be completely forgotten and being lauded as a flower golden boy for the rest of your career where even taking drugs is conveniently ignored.

I like those words Caroline - bit of a silver lining on an all together shitty evening.

I still think what your players can and cannot do dictates how you set up your forward line. If they are unproductive then they are unproductive.

Ok fair enough.... Btw Cazz, surely there is something that can be done to correct Bolts kicking? I mean surely some sort of extensive program to reprogram his kicking style is possible..?

Flower me Chamberlain, Walker doesn't hold the mark but Gibson sits on him so its play on, but you pick the free kick against Waite for sitting on Lake whilst Mitchell throws the ball.

Lets all accept it was a truly poorly umpired game.

Cannot, will not fault the effort. Once we gain some trust in the plan/process mick is attempting to install, we will win a game like tonight.

Thought Gibbs was truly outstanding and Lucas answered some questions. Really encouraging stuff.

They were a little bit better and got the rub of the umpires.

If Channel Flowering 7 bring up the tablet that was given to Kane Lucas one more time I will spew up.

But Essendon* can just keep on running out games deep into the last quarter and they are just a superbly fit football side and that elephant standing in the room is just a figment of everyone's imagination.

Just saw a replay of the Murphy incident, nothing in it, hodge had his eyes on the ball, was committed and went in as you would expect any good tough player to do.. Technically high contact should have resulted in a free but not intentional.. Just a good hard attack on the ball.

Oh Denim, did you misplace the video of Hodge elbowing Henderson as well.

Let me see our captain gets smashed by their captain & no remonstrations from teammates? Hodge should of been poleaxed!

Lucas' continued squibbing is becoming disturbing. His last qtr marking effort against Hill was shocking. Have to agree with Synbad. We need to remove these types & attempt to get someone better.

Gartlett is one of my favourites but holy smoke does he go missing in the big games when the heat is on. What do we do with him long term?

Hendo extremely good again but gifted opposition another goal this week. Needs to eradicate this

Hawks blocking, disposing of ball (throws), bumping etc is very much on the margin. Umps either turn a blind eye or don't see it. Flower it our captain should approach umps at the breaks & ask for a please explain. If nothing else at least highlight the injustices.

I didn't see that one, I just watched a replay of Murphy incident, not the whole game as yet..I know supporters are flying the flag for Murph and I feel for him, but I seriously don't think anything will come of it.

The way Gibbs played tonight was like he was giving Ratts the bird. It was very very nice to watch.

Keep him there. Forever. No ifs, buts or maybes.

Was probably a game where Yazz may possibly have made the difference, but in the scheme of things we ll get more value long term from the disciplinary stand taken. Happy with tonight, got beaten by a better team by only just..

yarran will be a better player having been pnushed

hoping its 2 more weeks.. maybe 3...
1 week is not enough to get a guy like him to think a but his footy

what did you think Synners (game wise) about right in terms of where we are at?

were thereabouts but not this year....

doubt we will make the eight this year... should next year though.

but Juddy and Simmo lifted us.. and theyre around 30... Carrazzo is the same.
Scotland played ok.. and hes almost 40....

So we need to find some dynamic powerful running mids that can execute!!! FAST!!...
Guys that can tackle and stand up in tackles....

cough cough

and Menzel should be in the side because he is clean and has a good head for footy... you need those types who can think their way through a situation .. especially up forward... cos u need the score on the board.

Bootsma played a shocker.. but he will be good.

Garlett needs to get back to what made him a good player.. not running past the ball.. not kicking it on all the time.. and not kicking around corners.

Kreuzer needs to go to where the ball is and not where it aint.
Wait should smash guys in our 50 not theirs...

so what you're saying is that we 'should' make the 8 next year!!! - well, strike me down with a sneeze there's good times ahead then!!
and as for finding some "dynamic powerful running mids that can execute" then pffft that'll be a snap buddy!! toooooo easy!! number 17, 18 & 19 by 2045 I reckon!!

I think Mick sent the serve to Geesh nicely in the press conference.

As for the game, we are just lacking 10% more composure. Should never have lost to Richmond, St Kilda or Essendon*. We'd be 9-3 and well pleased.

Otherwise, Eddie seems not 100%, Henderson's disposal the last 2 weeks has been costly (swap him to forward line with Rowe to the back?) and the umpires are a pack of cannots!

Jarred *#*&**& Waite - I dont think I have ever seen a more dumb / self-centred / undiscilpined player in the last 30 years I have been watching the Blues - tough isn't riding an unprotected player into the ground after he has disposed off the footy

If you can't get a kick don't cost the team a goal because you are having a hissy-fit

Everytime he goes into a contest whether its spoiling / tackling / chasing I am always hold my breathe that he doesn't get reported / downfield / give away a soft free kick

They only bigger knobs out on the ground than Waite were the umps
