When are we going to get players that want to take ownership of a game???

Why wasn't Gibbs or Tuohy lurking next to White when he got the 50m penalty?

Why DID Garlett Play on after taking the mark in the goal square? That's twice against the same mob he's done that & even then, why on earth did he not remonstrate with the ump & yell his point that he kicked the goal.

Until this team has players taking ownership & having the balls to stand up when it matters, we're never going to beat any teams of worth.

The White miss tackle was embarrasing and something we should not tolerate. Will be interesting to see how Malthouse addresses this at the selection table.

Maybe time to give Watson a run.
A lot here on TC are quite critical of Watson however I think he would be a better option than White.

I thought he simply fell over and dropped the mark

I was thinking the same thing re Watto in this week. Harks said he was OK in NB's last week.

This then releases Hendo fwd, just too reliant on Waite at the minute. Gibson or Lake or good match ups for him.

Ins - Watson, Carrots
Outs - White, Cachia (back to rookie list)

White was statless a few weeks ago, he's been treading on thin ice. We need to look at Watto against the best to get a better idea of where he's at.

Carrots as sub given his lack of match fitness would be a good move. Bell can't come in from NB's, so our Cachia replacement options are rather limited.

Once again we kicked the ball to our 20 men fwd line we turn it over opp space and loose men everywhere and of course there fwd line is all open goal. How many times have we seen this type of play in our losses .This is why we are dumb our coaching panel should have this promblem covered by now so they are failing.

Went to the Opera immediately after at La Scala at €231 per ticket but couldn't enjoy it cause I was still pissed off. Seriously wish football didn't mean so much to me. It's !@#$%& ridiculous. Hate those red and black flower.

Haha! Great post.

Difficult to watch all that without putting a hole through the nearest wall. I can normally put aside a loss within 12 hours...but to be perfectly honest - the Essendon* loss has grated on me all week.

Nevertheless, as someone who doesn't have the time (or much inclination) to watch those footy shows - I very much appreciate the trouble you go to Wookie to provide the Carlton segments.

Me too - finding it hard to "move on" from this loss.
The match reminded me of our qualifying final loss against Melbourne in 2000.
Good thing it wasn't a grand final - imagine how the Hawks felt after last years GF, St Kilda in 2009, Geelong in 2008, North in 1998.

+1

It sh*ted on my weekend (my wife told to stopping acting like a kid - didn't help I was worse as a kid) and I have not improved too much as the week went on. Then the week finishes with the Dorks :banghead:

Agreed with you all. Normally a Friday night loss is in the back of my mind by Saturday afternoon - not this one.

First 10 minutes they were slightly better than us. The next 50 we smashed them. Next 10 mins we were slightly better than them. Next 50mins they smashed us.
Very even game. Unlucky not to finish a draw.

Better get over it soon, there's another one coming this week, we fear.
