After our "tough month" we have St Kilda. Possibly 5 losses in a row.

I'd be interested in others thoughts as to which of our players can handle the big games not the ones who can't, I think there might be too many of them.

I wish they'd stop writing "motivational" articles about us.

IT'S NOT HELPING !!!

What we need is for Wallsy to write an article about how Ratten is making the Hawks FLAG FAVOURITES!!!!.

Doesn't have to be true (cue Synbad), but surely Walls would like to pump up his mates tyres.

I guess that conflicts with TC's bleak world view, love of schadenfreude and desire to not tread on any toes with outlandish statements.

Thought it was a reasonable article. Not much in there that can be questioned. I'd rather obvious stuff get said in the press that applies some good pressure to the club. Rather than simply sweeping the issues under the carpet.

I wonder if we could produce a Hawthorn type " line in the sand " moment this Friday night.
I want Lucas to start it....... run through the Hawthorn huddle.
I will personally chip in $1k for the repercussions from the MRC.

Great idea daggs. Might be able to get Lucas to draw the line but I'm not confident of getting him to run through the Hawthorn huddle. Might have to start off with something a little less daunting for him, like the Carlton huddle.

Wallsy is a dog of the highest order.
It is a known FACT that he hates MM and was always a very very big supporter of Ratts.
He knew exactly when to write this puff piece of crap and i have lost all respect for him.
In my eyes he has put his mateship ahead of the club that gave him the world.

Didn't be write the same type of stuff when Ratts coached ?

Either way it shouldn't make a difference.

I was actually a fan of his in the WAFL, he was a class above you could see it when he was 17.

And he was a better kick and a much much better decision maker. His hands were particularly good and his work in close was very good.

Obviously a lot more time in the WAFL and congested footy there is not as brutal but I still struggle to see the same footballer in a Carlton jumper.

I don't remember his tackling much but you can avoid it in the WAFL.

I haven't jump off completely but he does seem a little "shy" when he needs to be robust.

Can't reconcile his current kicking with what i saw either, looks like he started when he was 17.

Don't worry Cimm, I'm not writing him off either yet. I've seen a bit of him this year and he is improving. He was a different player in his first season here. I think he lost all confidence in his body and then wasn't given much of a go by Ratten. Mick's definitely persevering with him which is good. He's getting his hands on the footy a bit too. Daisy Thomas looked a bit like a soft cock until Mick's influence took affect. Time will tell.
