Are we getting the picture?

Courage in the face of an inevitable defeat by a better opponent , knowing they're gonna run faster, kick better, mark stronger, but nonetheless seeking comfort in the dignity of your effort...sounds like the Kruizer syndrome.

Nothing so noble.

I should stay in bed and sleep but I just have to drag myself out at 0420 to watch it. I can't help myself.

Hawthorn coming off a bye and games against Melbourne, GWS and Gold Coast.
Been awhile since they've had a tough game.
I reckon we could take them.

Same 22.

To make up for last week we need to win 2 of the next 3.

I see 1 at most (against the Pies).

Carrazzo back should help matters, what is our excuse now, we are full strength basically but are still crap.

I'm sure there's more reasons than that why we could pinch this and turn our season around.

I know many reasons why we wont, so I'm realistic. Probability implies chance.
We have a chance to prove everyone wrong.

Carrazzo if fit thanks.

I don't fear giving Menzel with a bit of JUdd and Gibbs at FP-HFF.

Not my problem who goes out.

The same 22 would have something to prove.

Then crap again the game after.

Thats the whole problem, we are erratic and can't string wins together, that is why we are no good.

I would be wrapped if we beat Hawthorn, but I wouldn't begin saying we are any good unless we won our next 3.

Unless that happens we are still in mediocre land.

I can see us troubling them, perhaps even winning if we respond right from last week.

I think they will win by about 6-7 goals, with a 15 minute burst at some stage which blows us away.

Same 22.

But what about Lucas?
Everyone hates Lucas.
He must never play again apparently.
He is the problem with Carlton it seems.
With him in we can only lose.
This much I do know according to people on here.
I am enlightened now

Thats what i have been thinking, teams do start slow in that scenario and if we jump them early and apply some scoreboard pressure who knows...

Still very scared of copping our first walloping for the year though.

He's the new Carrazzo, (from a couple of years ago when everyone, (myself included), had written him off as the king of the turnover).
A dud who should be expelled forever.

The Hawks can turn up at half time. Say boo and win the game through fear alone.

I think we are a real chance to win this one.

We are a much more accountable football side than at any time under Ratten's reign... plus I think we will revel in the physicality. I really do hope Bell gets a guernsey (in place of Lucas)... play Yarran and the runner/link man instead.

And those who are talking up Lake, he is exactly the type of match up Waite will take to the cleaners. No agility/leap/pace.
