35+ point margin should see us jump the Bombers on the ladder & be 5th on Saturday morning.

So a 35 point margin will do me.

This isn't St Kilda or North Melbourne on a Friday night or Hawthorn

This is Essendon*

In June

Blues in a Canter

There's been a bit of $$ for the Blues already. A fairly healthy list and a bit of form.

Essendon* have some sore players and we'll see the Ins / Outs. Hurley isn't 100% if he plays (was expected to return in Round 12). Dempsey to miss.

That being said they're not a game ahead of us for no reason. We'll need to be at our very best to beat them. Come on Blue boys... deliver!

They are a game ahead of us because

a)we switched off v Richmond and then still Yarran missed an easy goal to win

b) we didnt turn up v St Kilda

Essendon* are not that good

Heartfelt apologies and sincere condolences if this has been posted (will never, ever forgive myself if similar thoughts have been posted on a topic as serious as this)...

Website says Carrazzo is one more week away but I get the feeling he'll be brought in for such an important game. Reckon Carrazzo at 75% fit, 80% fit, whatever could cut an opponent to ribbons and still have a good game. Certainly wouldn't be our worst, win, lose or draw. Malthouse might name him as an emergency and bring him in at the last minute. Teams named tomorrow night cannot come quick enough!

Gee ticketek $hit me. Rang up monday to secure decent seats for the gane and was told categorically that all that was left were nosebleeds and nothing better would be released as they were all gone. So I bookedd them only to find the next day premium seats become available and that there are no refunds on tickets purchased.
Ill give them a call this morning and see if they can help. Not happy.
Do the right thing and book early and get the crap seats and people who book late get the premiums.

Any chance at all they'll change our seats?
Anyone had experience with ticketek and issues like this before?

Hi guys long long long time reader first time poster.

I'm currently going through the same problem for next weekends game at etihad. Was originally told there would be no better seats available so ended up level 1 next to the Hawthorn cheer squad. I checked again last week and better tickets became available all around the ground. I spoke to them today and have sent an email with the details. Although this is ticketmaster and not ticketek i feel your frustration.

Standing room is a wonderful thing. Close access to beer, pisser, and food. Can let fly with a few filthy words too.

A 32 point win will get us above the Lab Rats on the ladder - I expect this to be our minimum winning margin

Yep. Send our own chopper to stop him, has the running capacity, sole focus to stop Stanton getting a touch.

Agree 100%

Surely Monday nights game should put to bed the theory that we need a dominant tap ruckman.

Nic Nat and Cox had 81 hitouts......81    , as opposed to the Tigers 27, and they got smashed.
Those 2 also contribute around the ground. Warnock does not

Stick with the current setup.

Yep, agree 100%
And if this is the preferred set up going forward, Kreuzer the number 1 ruck with a key forward as back up, it becomes absolutely vital that we trade one of hammer/Warnock to get some value out of them. Rookie another young ruckman as insurance and develop him in the 2s (a la Jacobs)

It's ridiculous to have 2 afl level number 1 rucks both playing in the VFL. GWS is crying out for a ruckman and have a plethora of young talent / picks that we should be targeting

Do West Coast count?

The rules change.

When we beat teams in the 8 like Port it no longers counts when they drop out.
When we beat teams they were not in the 8, but now are / were it does not count. See Crows and Eagles, both in the 8 prior to this round, but no longer.
If we beat a team in the 8, and they are still in the 8, well then they are shite and this doesn't really count. This will be what happens if we beat the Pies / Dons.

Which means the round 1 game for everyone means nothing....I get it now

I reckon the contrast in the respective teams' lead-in matches is interesting.

We had an easy, confidence boosting, foregone conclusion of an afternoon against GWS, while they fought out a real slog away from home, in the wet against the reigning premiers.

Which team had the preferable preparation?
