If you're planning on going and haven't got tickets yet do it now, I just got level 2 row b - was being offered trash all morning and I don't imagine these good seats will last long at all.

I was checking ticketek last week and this and was only offered level 3. I ended up buying in the nosebleed section on level 3, row W. My daughter just informed me that she got level one last night. Not happy, dont know why they sell the worst seats first.

Just a ticketing question for Friday night - would I be alright to walk up, scan my AFL membership to gain entry? Surely it won't sell out?

Check the MCG website or ring them. It will be close to a sellout.

This game feels totally weird in the middle of the season.

Normally we've won a couple of early games and lost to the pricks by now.

I've been checking 3 or 4 times a day for the past week and I am always offered nose bleed.

And rightly so. Aint nothing like a Subi (or a Medibank Stadium visit if you follow the WAFL) atmosphere. Your kid may want a transfer. Unbeatable footy experience.

Gee ticketek $hit me. Rang up monday to secure decent seats for the gane and was told categorically that all that was left were nosebleeds and nothing better would be released as they were all gone. So I bookedd them only to find the next day premium seats become available and that there are no refunds on tickets purchased.
Ill give them a call this morning and see if they can help. Not happy.
Do the right thing and book early and get the crap seats and people who book late get the premiums.

Any chance at all they'll change our seats?
Anyone had experience with ticketek and issues like this before?

Have a great night.
The atmosphere will be something to soak up regardless of the result.
Win or lose you'll never forget it.

Of course a win would be better.

I liked this in the weekly email from Mick...

There are some unknowns in many respects with Essendon*. We don't know what their side is going to be.

Hi guys long long long time reader first time poster.

I'm currently going through the same problem for next weekends game at etihad. Was originally told there would be no better seats available so ended up level 1 next to the Hawthorn cheer squad. I checked again last week and better tickets became available all around the ground. I spoke to them today and have sent an email with the details. Although this is ticketmaster and not ticketek i feel your frustration.

I did the same as many of you. Upgraded last week to Q level for this game, see people yesterday able to purchase M and even premium N level. Frustrating especially as the "standard" upgrade price is the same no matter where you sit.

I think Levi and Kreuzer, at this stage, are our best ruck/2nd forward combo and I will be disappointed if Warnock plays.

We are effectively 17 vs 18 for 98% of game time with Warnock on the deck.

I hate sitting in Level 1 seats ... you can't see whats happening at the other end of the ground ... its crap. Give me Level 3 any day.

The AFL and the stadium management are in charge of releasing seats.

They decide when they will try to sell all the crap seats, when they will release more good seats, who has access to which seats, how much they will charge for each seat etc.

That's just the way it is.
The ticket companies just sell the seats that pop up on their computer screen at the time you order.
They'll never be able to assure you of the best seat.

If you want more control over where you sit, then you have to get a season reserved seat, or join the mcc/medallion club, whatever.

The AFL just want to maximise ticket sales.
They don't give a flog about being fair to customers.
Complaining to ticketek ain't gonna change that

How absurd that two big clubs with 100,000+ members between them gets fixtured at Etihad in the first place :screwy:

or even this,
"Will switch games to the G if we think we can attract blockbuster crowd"......yep no problem.

Nothin' wrong with Leederville oval as a second tier venue, in fact it's a little ripper when you get 3-5k in there, feels like 15k.

But obviously no comparison to the G.

Subi is puss.

Yet to beat a side in the 8*. Until that happens and consistently then we wont be making Preliminary finals, yet alone grand finals.

So big 4 weeks for us.

* - Port doesn't count...
