Gibbs, thanks Mick for allowing him to deliver the ball into the forward line instead of wasting him at half back

Could be one of the most damaging forwards in the game too, if allowed to play there.

Always the bare minimum with this side. Essendon* will trounce us again like they have done in our first encounters of the previous few seasons.

Everyone?

R1: Swans by 30
R2: Port by 56
R3: St Kilda by 72
R4: Melbourne by 41
R5: Suns by 44
R6: Essendon* by 39
R7: Crows by 135
R8: Hawkks by 83
R9: Eagles by 100

Hawthorn? Come on, they haven't even beaten anyone above them on the ladder this season :screwy:

Hendo forward is good....as long as win the midfield battle.
I agree we need to clone him.
Was impressed with Casboults ruck work. Smart

Menzel is hot. Should be retained for Bombers....maybe I'm wrong.
He looks like he belongs plus some against the kids of GWS

Judd and Betts to come in, maybe Carrazzoo too. Probably

Well done everyone. Bad luck to 3 making way for above mentioned plus Lucas

Then how do we fit Garlett, Betts, Yarran, Armfield, Murphy, Menzel in there?

Happy for Gibbs to be the one that delivers it to them.

He actually said WELL over so take out West Coast.

And then used this theory to predict that Essendon* will trounce us, despite the fact they only beat GWS by 39 and were down by 4 goals at half time.

Are you suggesting his theory wouldn't stand up to rigorous peer review?

Yeah, but apart from Sydney, Port, St Kilda, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Essendon*, Hawthorn and West Coast, everyone has beaten them by well over 100.

Liked Boots game,

Very agile, appears stronger in the contest and the best spoil in the team, smashing the ball forward.

Dare I say it, ape like with his long arms in the spoil :yikes:

Are you for real.....Do you follow the footy?

Look at the results of GWS the last 4 defeats Only Adelaide and .West Coast have beaten them by more. Then get back to the forum with your tail between your legs

:yikes:

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant.

He is constructing a list of stupid quotes. Dont give him a hard time.

Pros:

Easy game. Percentage boosting win.
We were pretty good on the rebound.
We actually kicked more goals than behinds.
Probably the most dangerous Carlton forward line I've seen since Sticks retired (even with Betts missing). Pity we can't play Hendo forward all the time. Just makes really good decisions with the ball. And can actually kick straight.
Walker and Garlett were brilliant again.
Good games from Jamo, White and Tuohy. Pretty solid defensive group these days.
Pleased Bootsma got a full game. Love his long arms and ability to make a spoil and generate a turnover. He and Walker are a good combination in that respect.
Armfield was terrific again.
Curnow's having a really good season. Improved a lot with ball in hand.
Also think Cachia's pretty trustworthy when he's got the ball in space.
Nice to see Yarran back and lay a few tackles.
Nice to see Menzel get a run and show his wares.
Casboult marked well. And we actually got a couple of goals from our big lugs for once.

Cons:

Probably not a great preparation for the tough month ahead.
No coincidence, but soon as Warnock misses, we struggle again to get centre clearances. Love the way Kreuzer fights in the clinches, but he's not much of a ruckman.
Thought we were pretty fumbly in midfield. Always seemed to muck up those clearance exchanges.

We struggle at centre clearances a lot because a number of our players charge at the ball and fail to control it. So many times this season we have had first, second and third hands on the ball in the centre yet the opposition wins the clearances. Our handball was really poor for the first half.

That said I was pleased with the performance because it was our 2nd tier of players who delivered the goods. Armfield, Tuohy & Curnow were fantastic I thought.

A 94 point win going at 80% isn't too bad in my books. With Judd and Betts back, and a bit more intensity, we should be able to match it with pretty much anyone.

If the boys are switched on mentally
