This is going to be a large but fairly unsatisfying win, at least for many on here...

If we win by 60, people will moan that we should have won by 90; if we win by 90 then people will moan that we should have won by 120 etc.

We are on a hiding to nothing against a team that is proving to be historically bad. Give some of the kids a game and don't risk anyone who is under even the slightest of injury clouds.

Wouldn't be surprised if Waite made way for Levi, Carrots in for Judd , Menzel in for Warnock.

Doesn't really matter how much we win by or if we rest players - we know where our list stands

I say keep blooding the likes of Bell Cachia Bootsma Menzel Buckley - get games into them

Rest a couple of players, its not going to hurt. We need to learn to win without Gibbs in the team, without Yarran, without Judd. Hopefully not too many at the same time, but our reliance on certain players isn't healthy.

Malthouse likes to play kids in big games, but give Buckley a game against GWS, against kids his own body size. Give Hendo a rest and let McCarthy have a game at CHB or on Cameron.

MM said Casboult was very close so I would expect him to get a game.

Watson CHB on Tomlinson, let Jamo's shoulders have 2 byes in the next month.

I would expect a top 8 side to win by 12 goals at worst.

This is our opportunity to get that percentage back that Adelaide and West Coast now has against us.

None of this resting bullshit. Any club coached by Kevin Sheedy should never be taken easy against by a Carlton side. We need to find form, even if it is against GWS.

20 years ago "Rest" was called 'Mad Monday'.....

No to resting...we need to find our rhythm...and balance.

MM is still finding out about the squad.

Wont be surprised if Warnock is dropped for this game as the GWS doesn't have a ruckman and we may have an oppportunity to see Casboult and Kreuzer at it to see what they can give us.

Casboult was a real handful for GWS in the preseason NAB comp. We might need him againt the Bumbers...but then again Bellchambers (plays for a team in top 4 and we're playing in 2 weeks) is too good a ruckman for Kreuzer and Casboult imo.

This game is about winning 4 points primarily. Secondly about gaining percentage...hopefully 10-12% like Crows, Eagles and Bumbers did to stay in touch. Lastly but just as important getting ready for the next 4 tough games Essendon*, Hawthorn, Sydney and Collingwood....games we have to win if we are to be a top 4 contender.

Yep - 3 games to go and rest is there for the taking. The only person worth contemplating a rest is maybe Jamo but only if truly needed.
We need to make a statement this week and set ourselves up for the Essendon* / Hawthorn double. I want WINS!

Can't lift the foot off the gas, need % for later on in the season.
Malthouse sounds like he wants to play Casboult and I'm all for this move. I think a Casboult/Waite forward combination, Kruezer roaming down there and with the 3 amigos will be a killer forward line

Malthouse is trawling through the list to see what he needs.
