Does anyone else think that the photo of Temay on the talkingcarlton banner looks like Murph and GIBBS morphed into one?

Rowe I believe has two options. He can play CHB/FB where I think he is most suited or he can play the "Leigh Brown" type role filling in the ruck and sometimes providing a different option up forward. IMO doesn't have the smarts to be the "man" up forward but could easily fill a workman type role.

Rowe could be a wildcard for a fwd berth like you say. MM has again stated his preference & views that 3 big men up forward are a must to win finals. Most teams struggle with quality KPD and with 3 talls one is likely to get off the chain.
Rowe as the 3rd tall could offer that versatility (ruck, back line) as well a contested marking option.
Reckon though he'll run out of puff as it's been a big & good effort to get back to where he is.

Really good squad.

Rapt Cachia Bell and Bootsma are playing.
Menzel would have been good if we were prepared to drop....go on ...say it.

Team is evolving for the better and I think its the midfield depth MM has created.
Walker, Simpson, Tuohy can all be thrown in the midfield.
That's 15 players who can be rotated through the midfield.
That sounds like an awesome engine. Even Kreuzer is a midfielder.

As long as there's 2 rucks and 4 other mobile talls ...KP size....then I'm happy.
We could handle an injury to one of them and play for the chocolates.

Go Blues.

Not really confident but expect at least a 5 goal win and if players happen to want payback for NAB GF then...

here comes our spot in the 8 with GWS Yarran Carrazzo to come next.

Don't blow it. Do a job on Brown. Please thrash them.

Local say at 7.30 pm plus evening dew sets in so have a lot of tall Brisbane players will make marking the ball a hard task. Tall forwards do not counter quick fast ball movement so some serious run from the Brisbane forward zone is expected using Walker, Tuohy and may be Gibbs. Expect Kruezer to be a lead up forward when he is not in the Ruck role with smaller players running around to where he can direct the ball. Waite to lead up and Warnock to play deep (and palm the ball to advantage since he does not mark it) when Kreuzer is in the Ruck role. His opponent will not be a ruckman so will be shorter. It is a question of kicking the ball to advantage as it comes forward. One or two Carlton forwards need to lead up and mark, then quickly move the ball on so the smaller players Garlett, Armfield and maybe Murphy have a chance to score. Bootsma had a short time forward marked and kicked a goal. He could do this again. He is getting taller. He can kick goals from around the 50 m zone. This week I would like to see a lot of contests with cover at the back to stop the use of the open side if the boundary is used.

But you ignored question of who you would have dropped to bring Gibbs in for?

I could give any name. Judd.

I was genuinely interested but if you prefer not to discuss then that's cool.

Nothing personal mate, was on my phone and just couldn't be arsed

This is a game, similar to the Saints one, where we are expected to win if we are anything above an average middle of the table side.

We should ve learned some harsh lessons from the NAB Cup GF, even though a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then.

Get a hold of them in the middle of the park, and the game should be done and dusted.
