Ian Collins shouls watch what he says around the corridors of Telstra Dome. Once playing list is finalised the club is going to ask all players to take a pay another pay cut next year.

I am also led to believe that we are not offering no uncontracted players huge amounts dollars as believe it or not we could go over the salry cap hence skinny and campo might look to be gone if lance wants 400k.

Interesting

IMO Lance should be gone if he wants $400K full stop, regardless of what our other players may or may not be getting.

We may debate what players may or may not be worth, but Collo has been there long enough to have seen through all players new contracts (bar perhaps Kouta's).

Get it right in the first place Collo. All of this asking the players to take a cut to their contract makes us sound like the Bulldogs.

You know I reckon my favourite function on this site is when you click on a poster's name, go to their profile and then click on "See all posts by ....".

Really gives you a good background on the possible validity or otherwise I reckon...

By the way Kallan, was this source the same one who's "really close to Kouta" or someone else?

This came from within the compounds at TD. Was also told that Collo oftens speak so loud that even the car park attendants can hear what he has to say but he does speak good words about Carlton though.

How on earth can we be at the limit of the salary cap? Unbelievable.

I was flabbergasted when i heard this myself. Im thinking re-signing Fev, Livo, Walks, Waitey and offering Setanta a new contract would have something to do with this.

Malouf was interviewed by Kevin Bartlet on SEN during the week. During the interview he said that we are paying 100% of our salary cap. He believes a club that finished last should not be paying that amount on its list and said they are trying to bring down the total player payments and that there is a option of a $440.000 marketing allowance which they said they will not hope to dig into.

I think Stevos contract instead of being back eneded they are trying to fit most of it into this years cap which will benefit us in the long run
