Anyone notice that with Garlett's last goal, a snap from 55m. He ran after the ball straight away as there was no-one forward of the 50m line.
He was at the edge of the goal square before the umpire signaled the goal.

I thought he was just going to lob it 10-15m out in front of the goal and just run onto it - had the Port guy covered easy

Power won't make the eight. Like 2007, where I called them making the GF was an overachievement, their start is something of a false dawn.
Not the only side however to go 5-0 at the start and then not make it. Geelong in 99 and Collingwood in 2000 were others.
A sixth year in a row without finals looms...
