So it comes down to Warnocks proven value in 2013 against Kruizers perceived potential undelivered thus far.
If sheedy were to offer just their first pick for Kruiz let alone their full board of selections as he has suggested doing for NicNat Id jump at it.
As for hampson a second round pick would do me just fine.
Id also look at Simpson for an early second round.
..Krooz has by far out-delivered, as compared to Knockers.. ..and Hampson, as unco as he is, kicked more goals last year than Knockers has in his entire career.. ....Knockers shows potential, but is not anymore proven than the others.. ..in fact with his durability concerns, not proven to be relied upon as 1st ruck since he's so far proven incapable of withstanding the workload without breaking down..
..and Sheedy is talking crap, NicNat is good but no way they'd be throwing an entire year's drafts for him.. ..crazy talk..
I think the facts show that he has delivered and Kruiz hasnt thus far in 13
I think the facts show that his durability is no worse than Kruiz
I think its a case of facts against perception.
I'm personally glad the perception is still there and i think selection 1 is a great return for that perception, would much rather use an early pick on a gun midfielder and use rookie and poaching to supplement a ruck man when the need arises again. anywhere in the top 5 and id jump at the chance
..in regards to your facts for 2013, i don't think Knockers has been better than Krooz.. ..Krooz was moving fantastically in the first two rounds, getting injured and subbed out early in the 3rd round..
..facts in regards to durability, show that Knockers has played 30 odd games less than Krooz even though he's been in the system 2 more years..
..i think perception see's Knockers as being the first ruck among some, and yet ex-footy players, commentators, coaching staff [of two regimes now] have krooz as 1st ruck, an untouchable, and a player with nothing to prove in regards to ability, work ethic and attitude.. ..Knockers has height over Krooz.. ..their tap-work skill is more even than some realise.. ..Knockers may get a lot more taps due to height, but Krooz is no slouch in the actual tap skill.. ..especially around the ground and boundary throw ins, some of the silver service Krooz gives the mids is exquisite.. ..Knockers has helped the team win many games yes, as has Krooz.. ..Krooz has also won games for us through individual brilliance, more often than Knockers has..
..some of the things Krooz does on the footy field for such a big man are amazing.. ..that swans game in 2011, as an all round ruck and roving game it was up with the very best.... ..but it's also the supposedly simple things he does, that get under-rated.. ..vs port most recently, his assist to Garlett towards the end of the 3rd Q.. ..Krooz picks up a loose ball in traffic in the F50.. ..he has 3 blues he can off-load the quick handball to.. ..he chooses Garlett, the one in the clear and out of the bubble.. ..as soon as he handballs he points and shouts to Jeffy that he's clear in space, and to shoot for goal.. ..plenty of others just handball to the closest player cos they don't have the same vision..
..Krooz is much more than the sum of his parts.. ..he brings an intangible quality to the team, that simply can't be measured in raw stats.. ....being there, watching what he does.. ..he's in the team, it's up to the coaches to get the very best out of him and get team balance..
