My own observation of the game, the club's opinion on best players and the AFL's website all
indicate that Kane played well.

I watched the game on Telly so maybe my perspective is different, but I thought Warnock went alright, did a lot of the one percenters that we sometimes miss, wasn't afraid to get down and dirty below his knees, wasn't a dominant game stats wise, but I think Mick would have been more than happy with his work rate.

Robbie was good. I had him in our best. If you're troubled by a ruckman's possessions then I reckon you're in the wrong game. I couldn't care less if he got 0 kicks, 0 handballs. Best ruckman in the competition in my eyes is Mike Pyke. He leads the competition in contested marks. Rated #5 for hitouts to advantage. They're the only stats a ruck coach should care about.

That's all well and good, and i tend to agree.

The problem as i see it, is that Warnock is prob last in the comp for contested marks (compared to other ruckmen), and i don't think thats anywhere near good enough for someone his size. Anyone can contribute one percenters, thats non negiotable, doesn't matter what size you are.

I still think Kruezer with Casboult as back up would give us so much more.

I've just watched the replay again.
How anyone can criticize Lucas or Simpson for this game is beyond me and embarrassing.
The other point, does anyone still not think Kruezer cannot play forward, let alone CHF? If so, why the hell not?

Waite is almost untouchable when on the lead and has a jump at the ball placed up and in front of him.

However if he leads to the forward pocket boundary line one more fn time Im going to fn spew up. Goal conversion rate from that spot must be 10% at best. Opposition back with the ball. I know the corridor is often crowded but leading to the deep pockets at Etihad is not smart football. Simply a structural and tactical issue. Must be corrected.

They can let him lead straight out in front, he is only a one in three chance of kicking a goal from there as well.

Waite is historically a far better kick for goal from the boundary than he is from directly in front.

Also, is it just me or does Cachia look a bit like a Vampire?
