Looks like all three emergencies are playing VFL.

To all those people clamouring for Waite to be suspended by the club and taken to the woodshed this weekend, The Age reports that he was apparently fined for getting suspended.

Is this sufficient punitive action?

Ala Mark Athorn after the 93 Grand Final

I agree with you, but i guess its all part of the learning experience. its evidence that the group didn't have (by previous comparative exposure) a good basis for identifying what constitutes a good leader, because it is clearly evident that Waite has always displayed the same traits. I expect that (at seasons end when the voting is put to the group again) the selection criteria will be clearer in the minds of all players and the Leadership group will have a change of representatives. The benefit of this episode will serve as a learning experience and that's a good thing. It just makes you realize however that until now the coaching has been shiathouse.

Missing the point. Yep, won easily.

But the threats of retaliation were not only stupid, but once again, we're reactive to these sorts of things, rather than initiate it. Why not deal with it at the game? Why do we always get reamed by any team halfway physically intimidating?

..waite ought to work well as the lead hit up target, knockers krooz ruck ff combo.. ..just hope krooz is good with the thumb..

....like others hoping menzel of troy gets to play a full game, or if sub time he starts as a player.. .... ..not just to get a better look at him, but we need his type for team balance..

I hope Bootsma is the sub, and not Menzel.
Troy is a far far better player than Bootz.

Plenty of candidates. Cachia Bell and Jospeh also in the mix.

I see Joseph played today, so scratch him.

Also, Simpson who is apparently fighting to keep his position in the team.

Not sure how I will handle a loss today. I will be very disappointed to say the least.

Anyone else attending today? I'll be level 3 behind the Nth Melbourne end goals if you're game.
