Murphy injured his toe in the first. Battled hard the rest of the game.
Scans today to assess.
The words "turf" and "toe" have been mentioned together.
Those potting him, may give the guy a break.

Still seething we lost.

Pissed off with the coach.
Pissed off with the disposal efficiency.
Pissed off with the dumb decisions.
Pissed off that we kicked it to McEvoy and Fisher.
Pissed off wioth the misses at goal....FMD
Pissed off with the weak effort by some, and yes that means Lucas too regardless of age.

@#$%&!...I am so pissed off.

Top it off and Bettsy is gone for 3 weeks. Yarran for a couple, and Ellard for 6 weeks, maybe Murphy if he has the dreaded turf toe.

I'm pissed off that Jammo has a suspect shoulder only 7 rounds into the season. Why wasn't it fixed like Walkers was? We should know better.

Pissed off I don't have a favourite ruckman anymore. They're all overrated imo.

Where the @#$%&! do we play Kreuzer? He doesn't mark. Neither does Warnock. Neither does Hammer.
At least Casboult can mark and learn the game. Bring him in and give him space and a role....despite him being an unreliable kick.

Really pissed off we have recruited so badly. Seriously holes everywhere.

I'm starting to agree (in part) The Rhino's thinking about players having a stint in the VFL ...but only if form isn't spot on and there's better options...like it seems right at the minute.

Steaming  I am not Carlton atm. I'm angry. I want this season turned around.....Ratts only won 3 in a row...MM had the opportunity to win 4 on the trot and he couldn't do it. Weak as piss. We lost the game before the injuroes. They ran all over us and they won it in the coaches box and between the ears.

WTF!!!!!!

I think you need to explain yourself Bondi. I'm not sure how you feel. Don't worry mate this is the most disappointed I've been about a loss for a while. Too many players on our list that are front runners and as for the leadership group, well, I think I better shutup.

Losing two immediately killed the rotation system and you could see it on the players on the bench and those coming off. Confusion reigned. At one point Armfield took himself off the ground spent, huffing and puffing, and nobody was ready to come back on. After a few seconds of people pointing around Murphy sprung up off the bench and ran back on. No doubt why Malthouse himself came down with 10 minutes still to play in the 2nd quarter... it was a shambles down there.

Most teams will struggle with loosing 2 players so quickly. Plus Jamo with one arm against an inform Roo and Murph on one foot. When your structure gets stuffed up like this its easy to loose your composure. The key problem was that we for one half let them play their game plan and bomb it blindly. I still think it was one of these days where everything goes wrong form the first minute (Jamo's shoulder popped in the first minute).

Agree with this. It was a disappointing loss because St Kilda are an ordinary side, but I think that people are being a bit harsh given the circumstances.

Not sure on the stats but I suspect that few teams have won having lost two players in the first 10-15 minutes of the game (as well as a hobbled Murphy from early on, if those reports are true). With the way rotations are these days, you can't realistically expect that this should have no effect on how the game will unfold. Take out Ellard right at the start and when you consider that neither Gibbs nor Carrazzo were playing, that is suddenly a decent chunk of ball-winning ability out of the side.

Excuses excused excuses excuses

Do you guys have any idea how many excuses we keep making and convince ourselves with?
Good teams don't make excuses.

It's as simple as that!

Agree 100% Synbad, our complacency and fragility stems from a lack of accountability over the last decade and a bit, where we have been content with doing the bare minimum. Our standards have dropped right across the board: recruitment, discipline, development, injury management, administration - our culture is just not good enough, we leave stones unturned, near enough is good enough.

No more excuses!

Jamo's shoulder popping out can't be used as an excuse or called bad luck.

GOing down a rotation and a half didn't help but we had our chances. We should have shown them and the situation some respect and shut them down when they were getting away from us. Numbers around the ball and neutralize the situation before wrestling back momentum. Instead we went to water.

And the club has the gall to continually ring my phone asking for more money all the time...raffle tickets, membership even though I already have one, and advertise for members to fork out $350 for the name guernsey.

Performances like last night's won't be getting us to 50k members, which in turn puts us further behind the competition's power houses, stops our move to the MCG, and keeps us playing mediocre footy at Etihad to wander through the wilderness another 10 years.

We are a throwback VFL-standard club struggling in the professional AFL age.

Some points
Warnock was he good I thought he was shit other than centre clearences.
You talk about soft players. Warnock is numero uno. Have a look at MvEvoy Puts his head over the ball. Anyone who thinks Warnock deserves a game is !@#$%& in the head

playing 3 ruckman Obviously MM hasnt watched many carlton games over the years because these 3 guys can only play in the ruck. Nowhere else.

kreuzer is the Fraser of the modern era. Too slow shit overhead mark . Hampson is simply dumb and Warnock so soft.

and we used picks 1,17 and 24 to get them whilst letting go Jacobs.

one mistake is ok.
but that is 4 in one hit
!@#$%&

playing Yarran was a disgrace. remember laidler last year. Medicos !@#$%& up again

leadership Murphy captain Simpson vice captain
again stupid decisions both arnt born to lead.Pick a guy who will lead. Henderson as i said before should be captain from what Ihave seen. Even Bell

last night was terrible and MM !@#$%& up at the selection table

he is playing more players than Ratten did
I just hope he gets rid of the spuds and the softies of which there are too many to mention. Then I might start attending games.

cause I wont go to see that shit.

Oh and Judd great player but has lost a bit which all champions do.At least he had a crack unlike several others but as I have said before the Judd deal 6 years ago is probably worse than the Warnock deal because we havent gone anywhere and Juddies on the decline.

would have been nice to be kicking to Kennedy instead of Hampson although our recruiting staff would have probably !@#$%& up picks 3 and 20 anyway.

and Gibbs well he wouldnt have made a great diference. Given past efforts he would have gone missing.

YEP MICK HAS A LOT AHEAD OF HIM

Finally...someone has actually picked up on the fact that Warnock is an absolute SPUD!

Who cares if he has 5000 taps to his feet...that's where his involvement in the game ends.
Offers sweat F*** all around the ground. Never takes a contested mark which is a disgrace for someone his size.
Has no agression... never crashes a pack unless Hampson is in front of him. He did that 3 times last night and completely ruined any chance of Hammer actually taking a mark.

Wowee McEvoy bent him over and reamed him good and proper. 20+ possies, 10 marks.
How many intercept marks does Warnock take dropping a kick behind? ZERO!!!!!!

And now onto Lucas.... he will have a celebrated 250 game career.
Considering it is now prohibited to bump due to the "potential" to cause injury...his future is assured.

AFL is now a joke. The bum sniffers up North have been correct all these years...GAYFL!!!!

Grondhog day over and over again
I'm so sick of this weak, insipid team.

Spent a week in the Kokoda jungle recently...the trekking company served up that Kraft 'cheddar' stuff every lunchtime. 35 degrees and 80% humidity, and that shit didn't melt after a week. Bound us up like nothing else too.
