Enough's enough. Sick of these soft prima donna type footballers who play without heart.
I know Bell has some deficiencies. But his deficiencies can be improved much easier than half the guys out there tonight.

Agree

Can't play 3 rucks.

Courageous effort by Murphy to play on after being stomped on. Could not walk after the game.
Jammo's shoulder came out in first quarter and again in the second half. Kept using his right arm to spoil anyway
50 less rotations
a free to Garlett wins us the game

oh the umpires lost it for us ???

Typical rationalising of being crap

The selections were crapola!!!... but you still have abled bodied men out there whos sole reason for being out there is to win footy games.. the ones with the most desire usualy win the games...!!!...

And Lucas???? CRACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

weak shit clubs blame umpires!!!

Strong clubs look within and swear to get the job done!!!

The more excuses we make the further away from success will we find ourselves!!!

True Sinners, the free kick was there, so were others both ways!

The bottom line is that we should have never been in the position where that free kick was critical, if we need to rely on things like that we are [REDACTED] as a side, and another thing just in case I haven't mentioned it Lucas and Hampson are liabilities and have to go.

Kouta can give us the recruitment story about how EVERY other club wanted these two... but in truth every other club didnt get these two.... WE GOT THESE TWO!!... and theyre not finals grade footbalers...!!!... and probably struggle to play ant level of AFL grade in a real sense...

It kills ambition when you mess things up like that!!

Sinners, I 100% agree with you re Lucas, but Watson, I'd like to give the kid a block of games starting next week and see how he goes, others have been given the opportunity and some have taken it and others found wanting, you may be right about Watson after all, but lets at least have a decent look at the kid.

At that shitstain of a ground you can hear everything.

3rd qtr, right in front of us, lucas was yapping his head off to his opponent like a bad winner who's 15 goals up. In that time he was beaten for possession 3 times and still he went at it around the stoppage.

I may have told him to shut up and get a kick. It didn't work. Summed up the night for me.

Saw that as well. Was a pathetic sight to say the least.

Funny I made the same comment, shut your mouth and have a @#$%&! crack, by the way did I say that he is soft and needs to go.

I want to see Watson get a block of games also.

Can't wait! He's what now? Third year?

Baby still..... We won't know if he is any good till he's played ten in a row.

I'm betting he is in the rubbish bin pretty soon though.

Another gun recruit.!

We all know his weaknesses, but he's been making steady progress this year and has been regulalry in the 20 plus possies this year, including a team best 29 last week v Dees. Yeah, I know it's the Dees..

We hardly have a Melb Cup field ready to replace him.

Keep persisting with him, hopefully he'll learn alot from last night.

Sorry, he has no heart, and no commitment, would rather play a Buckley or anyone (does anyone know what Anthony Franchina is doing at the moment) than Lucas, has had his opportunity and doesn't seem to want it.

Just looking at some of the stats and noticed that the Captain and Vice Captain did not have a tackle between them. Mmmm.

Now that i am less emotional, i can assess the game

By a country mile, our biggest weakness is the lack of genuine key forward
Currently we are too predictable. Even in the third when we changed games style and stopped bombing it forward, we could not convert forward 50 entries. Get this right, without impacting the kp defensive posts and we become more flexible and this then becomes harder to coach against.

We showed we play different styles, which is a massive improvement on previous regime. But 3 rucks is not the way to manufacture tall forward.

Still hold on to my asertion, waite cost us this game. But longer term our list is devoid of quailty kp players and that is the biggesr single issue.

There is no doubt that we were witches hats for the first 3 quarters, what really grinds my gears is that we were able to get our shit together in the last quarter, which tells me that we paid no respect to the opposition and thought we just had to turn up to win, not good enough.

Still going strong at 37 playing for Mornington in the Peninsula FL.

Would not have been the worst last night

Hey Jenx, what about the bloke you have as your avatar, he'd still be a walk up start in that side, and would show a few what putting your body on the line for the team is about.

Genuine question: Will Gibbs be available?

Does it matter? Another version of Lucas with 150 odd games on top!!

No Lucas is not in the same street as Gibbs, we all bag him but we bloody missed him tonight.

Lucas is just a front runner who gives very little to the side, he can't hold a tackle, won't go when it is his turn, butchers the ball almost every time he gets it and to add insult to injury the only time he looks ok is when he is in space, but what does he do? He holds on to it too long or takes another couple of bounces completely !@#$%& up the leads players have made up the ground and allowing opposition players to get back to fill holes.

Like I said out the front on hard rubbish day, although they probably wouldn't take him either as it would be HARD rubbish day.

Yep agree was harsh. But Gibbs needs to come out and fire. That means winning his own ball. He should play forward when he is back.

Very ZEN...

Henderson was effective because the opposition hadnt had time to work out how to play on him as a forward. Lets not get carried away here. He MAY be a great forward but until he has played 5-6 games there and dominated then the jury is out.
That said, if he played in the forward line with waite, then hampson becomes a real handfull as the third tall. This elevates hampsons usefulness as a forward, as the opposition couldnt double team the three of them. With the 3 talls firing the 3 amigos become all the more dangerous.
That of course leaves a big hole in the back line. Didnt see the game but could kreuzer be schooled into being a defender? He is quick agile and can run all day eg with a reiwoldt. If he can bolster the backline like henderson has done then we have the forward and backline covered.
This just leaves our pea hearted midfield to be fixed. Get it done Captain. I think it is now obvious that warnock is our best ruckman. He is able to deliver to our midfield, which sets up our set plays etc against most opposing rucks. What we then need is the mids to deliver on their potential despite being tagged. No more rushed disposal out of clearances leading to turnovers and costly goals when the heat is on. At the moment they are being out manoeuvred by the opposition mids.
