Why stop there? You're forgetting Hampson (17), Grigg (19), Bower (20) and Russell (9) to name a few.

Our few draft successes mask the mind-boggling amount of good picks we've absolutely squandered.

Anyone who didn't see that result coming hasn't been paying attention for the last 6 years.

Recruiting changed last year so lets move on from that.

What is wrong with our club, I'm shattered we did it again.

Mick can't do anything about it until October.

No I haven't changed when they are deplorable I call it - like I did when we lost to Richmond -tonight was completely incompetent unprofessional in all ways - yarran wasn't fit yet plays -everyone in Australia bar our coaching team thought playing 3 ruckman was going to be a problem -our best forward tall gets suspended for headbutting and misses his 6th match of the season

only one laughing tonight is Ratts who knows that these players continually let you down and they can and will do it to the messiah coach as well
y
Lucas as an early pick is the lifeline to future success... a piss pooor weak footballer means your future is crap...

Im not going to bag the 5 rookie midfield we have who show more fight than Lucas... ill bag Lucas' recruitment.. AND Watsons!!!

Thats 2 first round picks gone to the dogs!!!

on the other hand it meant we could've picked Talia, filling a key defensive post, which would've allowed us to pick Jack Darling then instead of Watson. Wouldn't we have been so much better off.

Theoretical I know but still.....

Says who?

You and Synbad always ignore that Adelaide and others club rated our players just to give your arguments oxygen. And you only give lip service to games where they play well and spin it. Pathetic arguments.
You know nothing. We needed a Talia type way before we needed another mid. Anyone knows that, except you. We all knew that at that time unless you lived under a rock. No hindsight there. We passed it up missed a gun key defender, which we suspected he was, for a soft mid we didn't need. You obviously couldn't work that out. We obviously can't take you seriously.

Before you called arguments pathetic.....think!!!!!

We needed a midfielder... we just didnt need a dud(Lucas)!!!
We needed a tall... we just didnt need a dud(Watson)!!!

Its how it goes.....!!!

Kouta can give us the recruitment story about how EVERY other club wanted these two... but in truth every other club didnt get these two.... WE GOT THESE TWO!!... and theyre not finals grade footbalers...!!!... and probably struggle to play ant level of AFL grade in a real sense...

It kills ambition when you mess things up like that!!

Yep mick now knows he has a lot ahead of him now

Some points
Warnock was he good I thought he was shit other than centre clearences.
You talk about soft players. Warnock is numero uno. Have a look at MvEvoy Puts his head over the ball. Anyone who thinks Warnock deserves a game is [REDACTED] in the head

playing 3 ruckman Obviously MM hasnt watched many carlton games over the years because these 3 guys can only play in the ruck. Nowhere else.

kreuzer is the Fraser of the modern era. Too slow shit overhead mark . Hampson is simply dumb and Warnock so soft.

and we used picks 1,17 and 24 to get them whilst letting go Jacobs.

one mistake is ok.
but that is 4 in one hit
[REDACTED]

playing Yarran was a disgrace. remember laidler last year. Medicos [REDACTED] up again

leadership Murphy captain Simpson vice captain
again stupid decisions both arnt born to lead.Pick a guy who will lead. Henderson as i said before should be captain from what Ihave seen. Even Bell

last night was terrible and MM [REDACTED] up at the selection table

he is playing more players than Ratten did
I just hope he gets rid of the spuds and the softies of which there are too many to mention. Then I might start attending games.

cause I wont go to see that shit.

Oh and Judd great player but has lost a bit which all champions do.At least he had a crack unlike several others but as I have said before the Judd deal 6 years ago is probably worse than the Warnock deal because we havent gone anywhere and Juddies on the decline.

would have been nice to be kicking to Kennedy instead of Hampson although our recruiting staff would have probably [REDACTED] up picks 3 and 20 anyway.

and Gibbs well he wouldnt have made a great diference. Given past efforts he would have gone missing.

YEP MICK HAS A LOT AHEAD OF HIM

But we were supposed to win easy.

Yes, yabber on about all those things we should have done and all the mistakes that were made as much as you like, last nights FAILURE, and it was a FAILURE, lies squarely with the new coach.

Hes got some work to do because tactically he was out thought and the players did not execute.

This is MM's loss.

no ... im not sure what planet that came from.. as much as i think sticks stinks.. i dont think umpiring beats us when we lose and gives us a leg up when we win.....
There were decisions that went for and against both clubs last night... going to the AFL and complain about what exactly?
that we get all of the decions in our favour???
Hw the hell will the umpires give us all of the decisions ?????
why should the umpires look after us when we cant recruit properly.. or choose the right teams??.. or make tackles sticks.. or kick goals not points???

Having touched on the goal kicking accuracy.... would have been getting away with murder if we won on accyracy as they slaughtered us through the midfield...!!!.. our much lauded midfield got carved up by Seb Ross and Jack Steven.....

Synners, I think everyone knows your thoughts on Lucas and I think most of us agree with you at the moment.. I do anyway. But repeating the exact same words 5 times on every page of every thread gets really, really boring.

i actually dont care if youre bored...
Facts are facts.
Hes a dud
Watson is a dud
Recruitment has been spudly dud.

And were seeing the results.

Last night we were hoping for midfield work from rookie listed footballer and a spud like Lucas....whilst we look forward to rookies Bell and Carrazzo to return to lift our midfield stocks

There is a problem there somewhere...!!!

Good teams = Good midfields

Recruiting didnt change last year so as we can move on.. whats going on now is a direct result of the recruting of the past... and that cannotbe changed.
Judging the present recruting cant be done for another 4 or 5 years ..

thats scary!!!

Recruting needs to be watched like a hawk!!!....as does every other aspect of this footy club.

For too long people have been too bullish when everything has been total mediocre!!!!

ENOUGH!!!!!!!

I think stupidity cost us the match last night:

1) Waite stupidly headbutting an opponent last week
2) MC stupidly selecting Yarran when not fit
3) MC stupidly selecting 3 ruckman - Hampson should have been left out.

I sat at ground level last night, something I rarely do. 2nd row on the wing.

At that shitstain of a ground you can hear everything.

3rd qtr, right in front of us, lucas was yapping his head off to his opponent like a bad winner who's 15 goals up. In that time he was beaten for possession 3 times and still he went at it around the stoppage.

I may have told him to shut up and get a kick. It didn't work. Summed up the night for me.

Laidler's too short for the role. If you play Hendo forward then probably Watson plays.

I'd be happy to play one main ruck Hendo CHF Waite FF and Casboult 2nd ruck. Our forward line would be alot more potent.

     Best option by a mile!!!

I wouldnt say a mile. I dont think we need 3 talls in the forward line and i dont think with this list Malthouse will do it.

Waite and Casboult will do. Caz playing relief ruck and Warnock doing most of it which he seems to like. That way we keep our run which is out best weapon.
When Waite is missing look to play Henda there if he proves he can do what he did last night in the last against good opposition on regular basis.
