....SUMMARY OF INTERVIEW.....

* Most Talk about the Club 10 days...wank talk for first 10 mins....boring.
* Marketing....blah...blah...blah...
* Will there be player movements..? RN said he had 1 ph.call yesterday - normally has 50 per day this time of year. Power / Yze committing to clubs...might not be good PSD.
* Expects Ph. to ring more tomorrow...when clubs talk about draft camp...
* Under instruction from some players - managers only paying players $100-200 per week allowance....pays off when they retire.
* Guess what...more Wayne Carey talk....boring....
* Hasn't spoken to Ablett for 18 months...(I can understand why - on Ablett's behalf)
* OMG this is boring...it's draft week next week flower...I'm starting to think Huddo and the Ox have been told not to ask him anything pertinent to this years' draft!
* Not big on hanging out with the players (I'm not surprised)

LANCE TALK....not poles apart...need to see what happens next week....deal might improve if Blues move players on...
Plenty of clubs want him...
If they can't come up on their offer...RN will suggest he look seriously at other clubs offers.
Thinks Fev will stay only because no one wants him...

Interview went for 40 minutes...Lance talked about for last 2 minutes.

Lance is waiting for some of his team mates to be moved on so he can get his 400k.

Great team man.

Well I doubt Lance will get what he wants given Lappin looks the only one to be moved on.
No one wants Campo and I very much doubt Fevola will be traded.

Bye bye Lance.

The mediawhore said Lance is on the lift ready to move (on money) but Carlton keeps putting a magnet on the bottom of the lift. It's not the contract that stops the lift moving up Ricky!

Could this be used to motivate him for next year? I find it hard to beleive there would be heaps of interest for Whitnall yet no one wants the better forward.

I was also surprised by Nixon's comments that no one wants Fev yet Whitnall is in demand for 400 K.Pumping up his own client at Fev's expense and Fev would be in more demand than Lance if he was out of contract.

I'm not surprised. Compare the body language on the field.

malee, if Fev put his hand up to actually leave ... Lance would be left for dead...

Lance is a very average footballer.
He couldnt get a kick playing on the second best defender the opp threw at him .
We had to play him as the loose man in defence for him to show anything.
In the meantime Fev was a semi cripple and kicked 50 goals in 19 games.
G Train kicked how many ???

Fev is EFFECTIVE... Lance is just a footballer...

How many times did Kouta stand in the middle with his hands on his hips not chasing????

Wasnt highlighted was it???

Fev gets the attention because its Fev.... and everyone knows how good Fev is.

Make no mistake....

Lance is not fit to tie Fevs shoelaces as a forward.

Bit rich to defend Fevola by using injury when half of Sydney's team carried injury into the Grand Final.Barry Hall couldn't even lift his left arm at the tribunal last Tuesday!

yeah but he didnt have OP... and didnt have 2 hand operations either....
Barry Hall didnt carry those injuries ALL season.

Why do people compare oranges with apples????

What im saying is ... Lance is a potato....!!!!

What im saying is he has been ripping us off... he cant make a mark in the forward line when Fev is getting all the heat...
He wants too much money.. at a time where every other player chooses to sign for their club.. Lance AGAIN chooses the old Carlton form of holding the club to ransom... because he is a greedy pig.. and comes from a genre of Carlton players that this club does NOT NEED... and the fact that were even entertaining the fat greedy pig really irks me...

It also tells me this club is gutless!!!!... and Lance has all the guts...

PISS THE PIG OFF!!!... (and his mates).. and start again!!!

We dont need them!!!

Theyre not worth it!!!!!

Find a backbone!!!!!!!

I agree with you on Lance, but ask opposition fans about Fev and I'd bet 1 out of 2 would be against recruiting him.A Cats I spoke to on Saturday didn't want Fevola because of his attitude and the contract Carlton had signed him to for three years.

Carlton chief executive Michael Malouf said last night Whitnall remained a priority signing of the club and he expected to speak to Nixon and Whitnall before the trade period begins on Monday.

The Demons have also told Ben Holland he will not be offered a new contract until after the trade period, adding weight to their pitch for Whitnall, who, presumably, would replace Holland on the Melbourne forward line.

Absolutely agree Synbad on the topic of Fevola. We need to build our team around a forward like Fevola and most clubs would be very keen on him, no doubt (even if his body language is inconsistent).

As far as Lance is concerned, he just needs to use his commonsense and show some loyalty to the club. But mainly commonsense! He had his first pretty good year in 3 or 4 years in if he doesnt take the deal, i don't mind trading him for someone. After all his highs and lows, i think $350,000 a year is a fair salary for a player of his output.

Lance should piss off if he doesn't like it.

demon 2, I get limited footy media on the Sunshine Coast. Can you tell me how you rate Cam Hunter. I gather from your comment he has been a disappointment. Cheers.

Hmmmm, To help out the club you take a couple of pay cuts then you get put up for trade last year, then your President publicly bags you during the season, half the supporter base thinks you are 'greedy, selfish and fat', and to top it off you get offered a substantially reduced contract over two years.

Then a club which has a genuine shot at the flag offers you a three year deal with more money.

Hmmm which would you choose?

yeah pedro....he has been here 3 years..played a handful of games....just can't put on any weight.....like his dad a very skinny frame....however he is playing in the wrong era with that sort of frame unlike his dad....

he has guts and courage like u ahve never seen....but gets pushed off the ball to easily....

i think we will let him go...but u never know he might get another year....

he hasn't really set the world on fire..hasn't even established himself in the Sandy firsts after 3 years either...
