Heath Shaw was able to do both last Friday night. At one stage he'd had 19 touches to Milne's 2.

As well as being in ratshit form, Milne is unaccountable as they come.

I just want someone to smash Milne to pieces. The most disgusting current player in the AFL.

Most important game of the year in the first 10 rounds.
This is where we find out whether we have progressed mentally.

In the past few years we'd be odds on to drop this game.

Very important game. Will tell us plenty about where we are truly at.

The Saints have actually been pretty good in patches the past 2 weeks for mine and historically give us all sorts of grief.

One week at a time however we have the opportunity to really get going over the next month. Are we ready? Are we good enough?

Bloody hope so.

They played well against the Pies last week. Riewoldt is in fantastic form so whoever stands him has their hands full.

Carrazzo for Cachia or Ellard is the only change I'd make.
Army will probably have to go back for one of their smalls. Much rather he goes back than AJ comes in, gives us some versatility.
If Yarran is injured I'm happy with the straight swap for Carrots.
Stanley will probably take Hampson with Fisher on Waite. Need Jared to be good defensively to limit Fisher's run.

We are missing Gibb's composure, but getting our best clearance player back is handy. I don't think Kruezer is ready yet.

I think people are overestimating StKilda /fisher/ Milne etc.

We have no excuse to not smash them.

This.

Overestimating past history against them.

It's mental, nothing to do with talent that we should be worried about.

Massive game next Monday. Just massive. Saints are not good but play well against us.
Very pleased with Waite today and he will be fine. Nothing in the headbutt.
So who will make way for carrazzo. I think ellard. A few tackles but looked scratchy when he had the ball and cachia looked good when he came on. Hampson shits me. He'll prob keep his spot if kreuzer unavailable.
Assuming Gibbs and kreuzer won't play and yazz will, i'd say:
In: carrots, mitchell
Out: ellard, hampson
Please just drop hampson!!! He's woeful. And hopefully Mitchell plays as we might have a forward who can actually kick when he takes a mark!!

You want a forward that can take a mark and you select Mitchell?

Malthouse is onto it and mentioned the 'mental' thing in his post match presser - it's about process when the opposition gets momentum - our 'lapses'

I just think it's a matter of 'belief' - something Ratts could never instill in the players - good luck Mick

So was Port and Gold Coast last year. This playing group hasn't restored the faith from those games yet, the West Coast/Adelaide games were ok, but the Saints is the big one for me to finally convince me we are improving.

We havent beaten anyone so far this year....

BUT... stkilda is rubbish.!!!
JAck steven and armitage inside. montagna outside and reiwoldt are all they have.

If we even let them in for a sniff it means were just not working hard enough....and slipping into old habits.

Our basics should smash stkilda.... theyre terrible.....
