Is Watts' absence a good thing or a bad thing for us?

Now Dawes, Clarke and Watts. Looks like Lynden Dunn is their tall target up forward. They'll probably set up like us with Jetta and Davey their focus points in attack with Sylvia floating about too.

I expect us to win by plenty based on them kicking bugger all.

i know i have been critical with lucas well i think its time to replace him this time

IN: BELL this guy will give hardness as we all know. OUT: LUCAS
IN : CASBOULT WE KNOW HIS POTENTIAL. OUT: HAMPSONI
IN : ELLARD TO REPLACE GIBBS INJURED
IN : WAITE NO POINT PLAYING HIM FOR THE NORTHERN BLUES WE ARE PLAYING MELBOURNE THIS WEEK, OUT: ROWE
IN LAIDLER EXPERIENCED RELIABLE, KEY DEFENDER, OUT: WHITE

AGAIN ALOT OF CHANGES FROM ROUND 1, BUT WE WILL FIND OUT WHICH PLAYERS WILL THERE WHEN IT COUNTS.

White has played a couple of good games since coming in and is versatile so he stays. Laidler hasn't set the world on fire in the 2s.
Lucas you've got to be kidding about. Seriously the kid has shown nothing but improvement this year and provides plenty of run. As someone else has said I'll streak on the g if lucas is dropped for form.

Impressed by tenacity and versatility of white thought he wasnt originally AFL standard - no worldbeater but competent and strong - good replacement for McInnes

Surprised a little he wasn't given a run forward at all last week.

What is the difference between playing Waite against Melbourne this week or in the VFL?

He is fit and ready, play him. He is not a kid trying to prove himself, he is one of the few real A grade players we have and we are so much better with him in the line up. Looked good in the VFL to me.

IMO if fit he plays.

..cos we don't give two farts if our ressies win, its purely a development side.. ..so we can properly manage waite's minutes, intensity etc etc..

Lucas has faults but his run and carry is excellent and for me he is in the first few picked

We must get as many games into him as we can

I agree with BKB

We already know what Waite will provide to the team. better to manage his return to fitness in the VFL, and provide the spot on the senior list to reward good form and build the confidence of other/s. Sends the right message re expectations and standards to the rest of the group i think. Its about principle and process remember

Carlton has upgraded Jaryd Cachia from the rookie list as the replacement for Nick Graham, who was already on the long-term injury list.

Upgrading would indicate he's around the mark for a game I would assume. Good on him. Hope he can keep playing solid footy in the VFL and keep the pressure on Curnow & Simpson etc. in the 1's but also keeping pressure on Ellard, Bell, Joseph etc. to keep performing in the 2's or he'll go ahead of them in the pecking order.

Should bring Cachia and Bell in, teamed up with Robinson it'd be carnage.

Biggest worry there Sin is that they would probably clean each other up.
