These are games I can't help but get nervous about. Not because I think we'll lose (although Gold Coast almost broke me completely last year), but the sheer embarrassment and fallout SHOULD we lose, it puts a lot at stake. Also bearing in mind our baffling and continued need to take our foot off the pedal and/or fall asleep. Hopefully Mick makes it all clear to them.

No excuse not to win by 10-15 goals. None.

Every quarter we MUST add to the lead... i dont want to see any quarter Melb make any inroads.

No resting anyone, we aren't good enough for that.

I like the idea of Menzel as a sub.

Just and observation. Maybe for another thread.

Following on from your observation, with the observation that Melbourne (at least up until their win against GWS) had the MOST players on their list with beards. Is it logical to conclude that beards and tatts are in some way connected to negative player/team performance?

20 goals should be achievable against Melbourne, defensively they are poor.

Not sure, but there's a direct correlation between having a neck tattoo and being a flower

Watching the Melbourne game and they're playing very loose and allowing Brisbane to carve them up. If we man up on them and break free on the turnovers it should be a doddle.

I love the way Mick went about the way (when he was at the Pies) in blooding young kids.... he's already shown it, and with a relatively good run ahead. I'd love to see Menzel in. from all reports from the North Blues he played quite well with some silky skills.

Dont think Laidler has merited taking Whites place in the team just yet, particularly insofar as versatility. Would rather Casboult in lieu of Mitchel any day of the week both for aggression at the contest and for defensive effort, i doubt Mitchell ability to make it at present so perhaps biased on this point.

Bert, I cant see White going out. I think he is coming along nicely. He has a turn of speed that neither Duigan or Laidler have. My changes: Casboult for Hampson and Bell for Gibbs (if injured).

Not sure if it was even an honourable one. Got closer than they deserved I thought. Looked absolutely out on their feet all through the last quarter. Confirms that Brisbane aren't that good either I'd say.
