Why change a winning formula.

This is the panel that delivered us the prized 1st pick.

Geez some of you are hard to please.

Thought we were trying to cut costs not increase them.

No reason why Libba was kept and it would seem, according to this article, that the only reason why Trout was kept is because he is a "close confident" of Denis'.

Bollocks to that.

T - x minutes till Synbad comes on and rants about the coaches.

Great they have a long-term policy of not trading picks for hasbeens and recruiting anyone over 23-24.That ruled out Luke Power!

Terrific they're going for a ruck coach but shouldn't they have pounced on Rehn before he went to Brisbane!

I'm wondering what the political situation is like, whether DP has too much power. Ok reward Barry Mitchell for the Bullants performances, but after our season and announcing a complete review of the football department, I would have thought some changes would be made.

If we can do is to throw more money at the problem to hire additional coaches then I'm beginning to think that the club is running out of ideas.

Worrying.

Thanks for that Collo.Very insightful. Glad we have you at the helm and not some idiot that merely states the obvious.

one more assistant and a ruck coach - two people to be added

to identify an additional assistant suggests they must have identified some area that needs addressing

what do you suppose that is?

Libba coaches the midfield, the rest I have no idea what they do

anyone care to enlighten me and suggest what it is review has identified as the need for an additional assistant

A ruck coach is only a "possibility" ... FFS, that's a bit of a concern. To be honest, although mildly disappointed, I am not surprised by the rest of the news in that article. I hope the new assistant is a young up and comer that is likely to add some genuine experience and bring some new ideas to the table.

Well after my post not more than 2 days ago of "...Old Blood"...I'm seriously shocked to hear this news....particularly after what Libba had to say about Fev.

If the side isn't tacking well next year (and lets be honest they only started tacking in the Port game)...I want Libba's head. I don't particularly like the guy - he is a selfish man and has not got the passion that Barry Mitchell has - this should be evident to all.

This is disgraceful...

The only good parts of that article were

Quote:

and

Quote:
The youth policy means, for instance, that the Blues would be reluctant to pay large sums of money for players older than 23-24 — a policy that would all but rule out Port Adelaide's Byron Pickett, who is uncontracted and has a strong connection with Pagan from their Arden Street days.

What can you say besides thank god. As for the extra coach, how about Darren Jarman to teach certain players who shall remain unnamed how to kick a drop punt.

It's very likely that we will lose Fevolution as a supporter if this is the case. Can the club really afford that?

Why all this outcry. Haven't the coaching panel been fantastic all year by keeping the players focused on the job at hand. They did what Collo wanted them to do all year, what else can you ask of. We finished just where we "needed" to finish. You people.

It's not surprising - DP said at a social club function early in the year that there would be no changes to the coaching dept. He loves TE so much he can't imagine life without him. Who else would run the training sessions if TE is not there??? Someone has to pick up the slack when DP has other interests. Also if he brought someone else in they might suggest getting down to the quarter and three quarter breaks with 5mins!!!!
