I wonder if playing in Perth last week contributed to our last qtr fade out :?:

I thought our decline began when we started lairising in the 2nd qtr.

We had an extra day on Adelaide anyway.

Made mention of this in the match thread. Got very sloppy and cute in the 2nd.

We had the opportunity to be ruthless today and failed IMHO.

Trust MM will drive this point home during the week.

Yes. We will be ruthless against Melbourne. Deathlyly ruthless. Watts will die!

Watts can't die. Aren't we recruiting him at seasons end?

I think Gibbs will be rested this week.
Hampson will be lucky to hold his spot, Casboult only has to play well tomorrow for a call up.
Not sure how Jamo is, he didnt put his arm up when singing the song after the game.
This should be a percentage boosting game so hopefully our confidence is up now.
A couple of changes, some forced due to injury.
Out Gibbs (inj), Jamo (inj?), Hampson
In Ellard, Casboult, Laidler

There is nothing more dangerous for us than a Carlton team that goes into a game thinking it has already won. You saw against Adelaide what they're like even when they think they've got a game won - just starting to fluff around with the footy and get on the Fox News highlights.

Hopefully Mick will ensure that any big heads are well and truly deflated prior to the match.

I hope Malthouse absolutely blasted them after the game.
Great that we won.
But they gave us a heart attack. Memories of the Brisbane finals loss ...

I want to see us smash this irrelevant, pathetic mob by at least 10-12 goals minimum.

Your confidence must be sky high, FFM hopefully....but WTF are you doing out of the bedroom unless you're on a water break ?
It's not Paris, it's you. Take that form into your next city & plunder, son.
CFC needs this type of belief for wins @ Etihad. A chat with them on your return, or over Skype could be in order.

Reckon Hampson's played himself out of the team, but don't think Casboult is an automatic in. Maybe Laidler as a forward option?

Always a danger of getting ahead of ourselves, but we should win this one nonetheless, and comfortably too.

Assuming Gibbs is alright to go...

OUT: Hampson - How the hell does this bloke keep getting a game?

IN: Casboult

casboult will be a gun and must play, showed great signs last season and takes a dam good contested mark. his kicking will come good and he is vital if we are too move forward and have a presence in finals. this season and beyond

Is it just me or do Geelong and Sydney have very few players sporting tatoo's?
Just and observation. Maybe for another thread.

This is what I am looking at. I'll review after today's game @ Preston. Looking forward to it.

B: Armfield White Laidler/Bootsma
HB: Tuohy McCarthy/Watson Walker

Foll: Warnock Robinson Murphy
C: Lucas McLean Scotland

HF: Garlett Henderson Yarran
F: Betts Casboult Judd

Int: Rowe Carrazzo Simpson Curnow/Ellard

Others: Bell Menzel Buckley

I am going to assume Gibbs & Jamo are injured. Hampson dropped and to play as a Pure Ruck in the VFL.
