Can I also say how @#$%&! sick I am of losing Kreuzer for at least 2 months every year??

(not to mention Waite, who I've given up on)

Oh rubbish!!!... hes not a coward at all.. he has his moments but he isnt a coward... the guy isnt 100%
Hes jjust a guy thats been conditioned to play in the bubble and now is having to re invent himself...plus hes injured atm.

coward? pfffft....

too many times over the years he's been one on one and wont throw his body on the line for the team. plenty of skill yes but skill alone doesnt make a great player

I must admit my wife left me swearing at the TV at three quarter time to go to bed.
She said "why do you yell at the screen? They can't hear you."
I have no response to that.
All I can say is that in my lifetime to date Carlton have brought me a lot of joy but lately, a lot of pain.
I have coached an amateur league footy team for the last 5 years and we have gone one step closer every season to the flag. Unfortunately loosing the GF last year by 5 points.
All I ask from my troops is to be ruthless. All the simple things: manning up, chase, smother, tacke the hips, etc.
Most importantly to pLay for each other. To trust that your mate will always be there. Confidence.
Carlton doesn't show any of these traits.
It is extremely frustrating to watch such a soft, uncommitted effort week in week out.
Wat the @#$%&! is wrong with them!

Its not Galipoli mate its footy...
Gibbs has been a guy thats lived in the Ratten bubble.. and thats what he knows.
Give these guys a chance.
I saw a few soft moments... by alot of players in y years of watching AFL... just we focus more on some guys than others.

He will be ok....

Forgot to add.

When opposition kicks out from defence - we are so, so, so sloppy. I don't think I saw us force Geelong to kick to a contest until nearly half time. They always had at least 2 free players to kick to uncontested. No pressure whatsover.

Murphy did that at one stage and gave away a free kick for having the temerity to attempt possession of the football!

murphy is no glen archer but he goes in hard more often than not and when in form is runs his ass off

he is like the rest of the team... needs to fix parts of his game .

That includes everybody and the team as a union.

Nothing unique there

Thats better Springsteen. I do understand your frustration. You have to admit we are not a very skilled team under pressure. Thats what frustrates me. Gee we cost ourselves with kicking and our lack of footy smarts.

gibbs was a number 1 draft pick and is a very skilfull player . he should be in our best 6 week in week out.

Before he hurt his knee he was playing good footy. Was very good against Richmond and started well against Filth until he hurt his knee. He was far from developed properly under Ratts and used as a Mr Fixit. Not what you do with a number 1 draft pick.

fact is as a team we have a few too many who lack poise and skill under pressure. we all know who they are. i also think lucas gets a tough time here from some. only played about 20 games and has done ok in 2013. tackling needs some work and his decision making will improve very soon if he's given some more full games. i think we have a very good player there. Rowe is a positive as well. possibly CHB would suit better but he will be a handy 2nd big forward for us, i think levi needs to be given more time . he has a lot more upside than hammer and i would bring him back next week and he can give some releif to warnock

if there is a match up for yazz i would love him down back. we've lacked his streak there . walker been fantastic down back but still would pref him as a 3rd option up forward

maybe a wild card in menzel this week as well.

Just tell her it's only because you're not yelling loud enough!

We have lost the last two weeks by small margins to teams that have been in the top 6 for the last 8 years and have won 4 of the last 6 grand finals.

What the last two weeks has shown is that we are not top four. I think we are top 8 but the gap is evident.

Collingwood and Geelong have left us for dead in recruiting and list management. If you disagree then you are dilusional.

We should be starting to peak now with the number of early draft picks we have had. We have paid a massive price for key position players and ruckmen and we are not reaping the benefits.

Don't give me bullshit about players like Watson being young ... if they are GOOD ENOUGH they get played.

I have confidence in MM changing us for the better but do not have any confidence in our recruiting and list management. We have grabbed nearly everything from Collingwood but have missed their best weapon ... their recruiting team.

Like Jack Watts is for Melbourne..........?

or Tom Scully is for GWS..........?

or Josh Fraser was for the Pies.....

Get a grip. Not every #1 draft pick has skill, heart, poise, guts etc.

Yes Derek Hine would be handy. Our development of players has been woeful. We talk about fast tracking development, we couldn't even slow track it.
