Affirmative.

Shouldn't be playing then. No point being a liability out there and risking further injury.

Not a massive Hampson fan but the decision to play 2 weeks after the surgery just seemed :screwy: to me.

Back in 2007 Bartel had his appendix out, missed one week.

Our arch nemesis the Suns are 0 and 3.

We'll still finish higher than them, then we can get that bronze statue of Mick down at Visy.

didnt the Suns win their first game?

We've only been in oblivion for approx. 13 years BB and really haven't rebuild 2 or 3 times like the really good teams do, so why wouldn't you. Be patient pal, I'm sure some more 1st round picks would do it for us.
Either that or new president, coach, recruiting team and development coaches would do the trick.
It's all good, sit back and just enjoy it.

All I want is courage.
We have no conviction. Frightening thing about that is the players obviously don't play for each other.
If we go down fighting, then I can hold my head high eing a Carlton supporter but for the last decade, all I watch is a slow aneurysm.

Some of our players just don't want it enough. Their heart and soul is not it totally.
It's not life or death for them and I feel our supporters show more passion and hurt.

I thought we were pretty darn good really.
I'm just puzzled why we didn't swap Yaz and Walks, so Andy could kick us a few goals when we needed them.

anyway..improving all the time. really enjoyed being at the game.

Yep - no.1 picks need to be traded and quickly. They just don't cut and while were at it, lets shut shop and get some high quality draft picks to top up for 2014 and beyond.

I hope Hammer's eye surgery came with a money back guarantee.

Just home from the game, disappointing yet again.
I thought we had a crack and take out the lapses late in the 2nd and 3rd quarters we matched them.
Losing Kreuzer was a massive blow.
Walker was fantastic as was Judd. Carrots did a good job on Selwood, Yarran has to play forward.
Murphy was manhandled early and fought back well, Gibbs was missing in the first half but had a good second half.
Jamo did a good job on Hawkins but also cost us a couple with turnovers, Hendo also did a good job.
I never thought i would say this but Simpson has to be dropped.
Was sitting on level one and got a great veiw of the streaker.

:)

Geelong uncontested possessions 233, Carlton 202.

Continues the trend.

A pattern of letting the opposition get out in space and have time to deliver forward. No pressure. No defensive structure. Kickouts for example.

I like the improvement in Lucas, George. He does make mistakes and I would like him to go a bit harder at the contest when it's his turn to go but he is taking the game on and definitley has the talent.

He shows good signs (gets the ball, kicks goals) but every week he has costed us goals - through missed tackles, poor disposal and bad decision making. Not convinced that he should be in the ones.

For all those bitching about the losses - take a step back and breathe deeply.

There is a very good reason why we are losing - Atm we have no bloody structure, players are being thrown about all over the place and we are very hesitant with our ball movement. This will change as
- malthouse gets a better understanding of the players strengths and weaknesses
- malthouse adapts his game plan to suit our playing group (our group is built on speed)
- the malthouse playing style gets ingrained into the players so that they begin to move the ball on instinctively

It will take us at least 1/2 a season and quite possibly a fair bit longer (ie next season) before we begin to gel. That was always going to happen with a change of coach so sit tight and suck it up. Particularly those of you that were so vehement in calling for ratten's head.

i am a pretty positive supporter.

i thought we were pretty good, considering we lost our forward structure to a large degree with kruezer going off, and hampson rucking the rest of the game.

imo we lost it from all the set shots we missed in the 3rd quarter. we kicked 2 goals 5, and one out on the full. we also lacked any sort of defensive system for defending the kick ins. they seemed to have an easy target about 40m out after every shot we missed, and they ended up going inside their forward 50m each time. our zone failed badly.

i liked how murphy improved in the second half after a very loose first half. simpson was a real let down. loved zach's game - very solid.

Put out the idea of trading Gibbs and Lucas at the end of the year and see if we get any worthwhile bites.

They're no good, but lets trade them anyway and see if win big!

Tony Moclair isn't this funny.

Just a very ordinary team at the minute. And no Kruez, no Waite, no Eddie just seals the deal.

I was absolutely sickened when they picked AJ and he didn't let me down, with another inept display (you can see the fear in his eyes when he gets caught down back in a one on one) PLEASE PLEASE NEVER EVER EVER PLAY THAT GUY AGAIN

Simmo a shadow and must be dropped. You cannot play the way he has for 3 games and hold your spot. Sugar was lively and adds something but as all have said, his tackling is so soft - but he isn't Robinson Crusoe there.

WTF was Jammo doing with those Torp on he run attempts. Does he think he's Dustin Fletcher :screwy: :screwy: . He destroyed us with those two howlers.

And how bad was Hammer below the waist tonight ? Just was a joke around the clearances in that area. Bad kicking for goal also blew whatever hope we may have had.

Last two games we've been 3 goals up four times but given it up so easily. Time to make a stand and just get physical. We are the softest team in the league beyond doubt.

Next week is going to be very ugly in Perth, with JK playing really well today. He and Darling are going to destroy us.

ps....SOJ showed plenty of zip and spirit - bit like the old man   oh and Rowe did well too.

Tongue in cheek conspiracy theory about our fixture - the fixture was made when the club was fighting the AFL about the Visy in/out of cap payment. They decided to punish us in the first 5 games with 4 matches against previous year's finalists and 3 against from the top 5.
