Just so reactive.

No sense of urgency.

No simple footy. Manning up in defense? no structure going forward. Not once

We don play with any confidence or composure.

We get tired of chasing and drop our heads.

Just awful.

I love this club but I am totally gutted by that performance.

Wait till he's fit.

His performances are putting his abilities in relation to everyone else on our list into perspective.

He is simply that much better than the rest of them it's ridiculous.

Lucas did alright..ran hard and created opportunities, particularly early... Needs to improve tackling but plenty to work with.. Improved each week thus far.

Tend to agree but why is he so hesitant to tackle? Or am I the only one that sees this?

Thought walker wasn't to far behind ,, if not marginally in front of Judd

Lucas is not going to get any bigger.
Some body type just wouldn't get any improvements - just like Simpson, Lappin and Bower. They will be skinny for the rest of their lives.

Played three good teams and have been in winning positions in all three. Not that far away.

Adhering to the defensive game plan a key.

Still sorting through list and capabilities.

Will be better w Waite, Betts, Kruezer, Laidler, Bell, Ellard in our best 22.

Desperately need a small defender.

At least 5 of their goals came from woeful defensive errors; failure to overlap, 3 players to their one, not protecting zones....

Other than that I thought we did OK against a top flight team. We're not good enough because our defence is still easy to carve up into 1 on 1s rather than cover for each other & get back to make it all work.

Great signs in Tuohy, Judd, Walker and poor signs in Murphy, Gibbs & Simpson.

Did Hampson actually get a stat?

Defensively we were destroyed again! Conceded 100+ points in all games so far, and we are giving away a lot of easy goals to the opposition that they seem to just run into an open goal with.

If we wanted to play finals this season, have to .... HAVE TO beat West Coast over there.... and thanks to Melbourne, they have just got some confidence back into their game

I didn't notice him being hesitant to tackle but did see him choose a few times not get dragged into contests.

Thats just rubbish. Get a grip.

It's the truth. If the rest of the team showed half that commitment and willingness at the contest we wouldn't be 0-3 right now

most think tonight was insipid and in the most part I agree.

another way to look at it:
we are playing with little confidence,
some of our senior players are well down - like simmo, murph, Gibbs etc
we are carring a few triers with limited skills and poise - Davies, Joseph
we are blodding a few newbies - Rowe, buckley.
our Ruckman went down early
we got raped by the umpires
we were inaccurate in front of goal
we are missing our two best forwards

and despite all this we only lost to Geelong at Ethihad Stadium by 3 kicks.

funny game, footy

Thought Murphy fought back well in the second half.

Hunt's 3 goals hurt badly, but thought he got a lot more credit for his work on Murphy then Carrazzo did on Selwood yet Murphy ended up with 27 touches, 14 of them contested and was our leading tackler with 6.
