Agree, all were pretty poor as were some others.
Like the ins, all in decent form.
Good luck to young Dylan, i can remember his dads first game.

Co-sign.

Laids didn't look like he's 100%, and Bell was fairly flat, particularly late.

I think that was the problem - there is no one else worthy of a game except maybe White.

Must be on his last chance.......

Like the changes made. Would ve possibly dropped Davies also, but that may have been one change too many.
Good to see the side being picked on form, and players in the VFL being rewarded for doing well. This wasn't always the case under a certain ex coach.

Davies stays and Laidler goes............FMD.......your call MM.......can't work that one out

I thought MM might give em 4 games in a row to find out more and I thought Casboult was our best mark and may have needed one more game.....MM must know that the long bomb isn't going to be marked by Cloke, Dawes or Lynch in the Cartlon forwardline so a marking forward isn't important.

Look, we were close in the last 2 games...could've pinched them....so maybe his selections get us closer.
Cats have a tall forwardline and a good system gettting the ball to them in the open..not with bombs...lets see.

We'll miss Betts, Waite, and the calibre of an in form Laidler imo.

Go Blues

True.

More some players I think are lucky to be in and some are unlucky not to get a game.

Keen to see Dylan Buckley play.

The ins should make us stronger, Joseph for all his faults is needed as we have no one else to play on resting smalls.

Scotland, Buckley and Hampson should give us more than the outs. I'm hoping Buckley can help Simmo out as another run and carry type.

Bondi if Hampson is fit then he deserves his spot after his first game.
Rowe was more impressive than Casboult and can also go in defence.
I have to give credit to him thou doing the team things like blocking for his team mates (as clumsy as it was) hard chasing and the delivery was pathetic.
for me Hampson and Casboult are vying for the same spot as the stay at home forward so they can't really fit in the same side.
I hope i'm wrong as I do like the upside in both.

All the ins are very good (good luck SOJ  )..... except for.....dear oh dear.....cannot beleive that AJ has got another senior game. What the Flower are they thinking :banghead: He is an absolute liability down back - some of my worst nightmares involve AJ and an opposition small forward. So Bell had an average game, but surely he's shown enough so far to be given another chance over AJ ????

Because we were so good at holding small forwards last week without him?
Varcoe, Motlop, Stokes, Christensen, Smedts. I'm sure we can find a match-up for AJ.

And Bell was terrible in the last quarter last week. I don't have a problem with him missing this week.

Happy with the changes . Bell will get plenty more chances .
Laidler , Bootsma and Casboult were pathetic last week . Picking the team on form is the way to go .

Buckley has got his chance because MM will be giving all the young guys a crack during the season , and that's good .

There is no small fwd match up for AJ in the AFL. Can't recall seeing anything to change my mind. As a hard tag on a mid, he can be ok. But inside 50 he just can't cut it (very shaky overhead, stuggles to spoil effectively, turns it over etc etc).
