McLean too slow
Casboult needs some confidence
Bootsma will benefit from last two weeks but needs a break
We look better when we are quicker, smarter and more mobile

Having Waite, McCarthy, Ellard, Graham, Hampson, Collins, Betts, OKeefe, McInnes injured is really making it hard to get balance right.

Menzel needs to get a few games under his belt.

Looking forward to a number of these guys pushing for spots later in the year.

I like the side largely, might struggle with the lack of an extra tall down back, Hendo would be needed to play on Hawkins or Jpod.

Positive Levi won't play this week.

Cool, thanks. We missed him dearly as our tall marking forward today.

Scotland in for Bootsma is a 3 goal improvement. Hopefully.

Just no way will Bootsma be playing next week. His last quarter was diabolical. Unbelievable. I knew it was bad at the ground but when I saw it on replay I couldn't believe it. Mm should have left Laidler on.

Bell and Armfield were poor in the last. Especially bell. But I'd persist with him for now.

Casboult did nothing. Rowe was ok. If Hampson is right he will be in for Rowe. Synbad's call for Watson is hilarious. Sounds like the boy is close to being dropped from the twos.

Oh, and second week in a row Lucas was very encouraging. Disposal getting better. Guts was solid. Criticism of him is a joke.

Please don't kick the first 3 goals again.

Tuohy did some nice defensive things. They just have to persist with him. He wasn't as bad as I had thought.

Bootsma on the other hand was worse than I thought.

And Casboult gave us nothing again and needs to go. I think at one point in the last when Seedsman ran unattended forward I saw MM mouth "bloody forwards again" - meaning lack of pressure.

Warnock and Scotland in..doubt Hammo ready. Bootsma and Casboult out. I'd like to see Davies out but I think they will play him again.

Did Laidler play any games for Northern Blues before today? It looked to me like he needed some more time before playing seniors.

I think he is playing too heavy. Not the most agile at the best of times and with the added weight....

Laidler still has a role to play and if he is better for the run, should stay in my opinion. At his best he's a terrific defender.

Otherwise Simon White comes in for him.

Lucas is on the improve so he stays. Armfield is the one who has to have question marks. He cost two direct goals yesterday and when you only get a dozen touches, that's not on. I like Denis, but he's the guy you could drop to give Buckley his first shot.

Selwood, Bartel and Chapman have had two very good games. Bartel as a loose defender has worked well, and you'd send Robinson to him to negate him.

Yesterday they were all at see and I dont know how North didn't end up winning.

I'd like to know if Hampson is available. I assume Betts is a 4 week injury?

We're a big shot here.

Going by the last two weeks, it must be Christensen's turn to kick 5 goals on us.

The last two weeks have shown us that we still have a 20-minute nanna nap each week, while the Cats take full advantage of those times better than anyone.

We need to stay focused for the full game, or we could get completely destroyed.

Just catching up on Northern I see that Knockers had a great VFL game maybe he comes in for Rowe? Scotland is also available after his club imposed selection. The kind of guy to bring in for Laidler? Buckley good. White good. Curnow 30+ possessions.

Perhaps there's pressure to hold your spot.

Rowe was fantastic for us in the third, why would you drop him?

Bloody wet day and he had an impact moreso than almost any other tall forward.
