Would like to see Buckley as a sub and burst onto the scene in the 2nd Half when we've given them a smacking by then.

Hoping its Rowes day.
Happy for the good fella....lets win it for Carlton supporters first and Rowy second.
I wouldnt have picked him but Im not disappointed, just appreciate the surprise.

Should do something as a site in the spirit of the Peter Mac game.

Thinking along the lines of posters offering donations on the basis of $X for every goal Sam Rowe kicks?

Thought our backline did well considering the absolute ease with which the ball came in up until half time. You don't have to be far behind at CHB or FB and be beaten.

It's always about how the ball comes in.

Buckley will be an enthusiastic contributor if he gets a go. Small but tenacious. A terrier.

Good call Rhino....Great cause,

List still good if we are positive about inclusion of Rowe, Laidler and Buckley if it goes that way.
I'd like to retain Bootsma but maybe we kept Duigan to be a bit more physical with them.

Colllingwood have injected speedy youth who did well last week.
We lose our best small but theres no speed in our ranks.
Tuohy and Duigan stay to release some run from Army and midfield work for Gibbs despite neither showing form

B: Tuohy Jamison Laidler
HB: Gibbs Henderson Armfield.....Duigan can release both HBF's
C: Yarran Carrazzo Simpson
R: Kreuzer Judd Murphy
HF: Walker Rowe Robinson
F: Garlett Casboult Bell.............Bell can relieve Judd and Murphy

IC Duigan Mclean Lucas ..........2 for midfield rotations...Mclean can run all day...just not too fast...crirtcal for Brock this week
S Buckley.........................speed, courage, skill, goal kicker.....

havent seen SOJ play since lat year but really enjoyed what the boys had to say about him in the Bullants game last week sounds like Carlton in the 80's.

Laidler on Lynch for mine, plays tall very well. Seeing Hendo struggle on spud Vickery last week only served to remind me on how well Laids towelled him up Rd 1 last year. Laidler is our best defender, hope like hell he's back, really need his composure.

I can't believe the versatile AJ has been dropped. Don't we need his versatility?

Yeah he's versatile alright. Versatile enough to stink it up wherever he plays on the ground.
I've had enough of his calamities, particularly deep in defence, and cant wait to see the back of him.

Watto has played against the Filth twice for two howlers. Glad Mick didn't go for the 3-peat. Watto on Lynch would be very very scary.....and on the "Log" ??? :yikes:

Watson has played against Collingwood three times.

Watto kept Lynch under wraps last year.

Hmm... Watto was always the guest star in 2012. Not sure that counts.

The important bit is that we think our ruck / mids can win. This was evident last year. No reason to think otherwise; Special K can jump whilst Jolly cannot.

Betts hurts so Buckley in to add zip is a good idea. Judd / Murphy to lay >5 tackles and we win.

I think it says enough about the mitigating circumstances for Tuohy's performance if Duigan is universally considered to be out this week.

Henderson is the only defender that could say he had a good game, and that stems from not overcommitting himself in attack and watching the play unfold instead of reacting to movement in the immediate vicinity. I think Tuohy and Bootsma held up well under siege.

Hendo ball watched 3 times and conceded 3 goals in the second quarter. Don't agree it was a good game by him.

Pies backline is slow as treacle. If we flood back, spread hard when we win the ball and use our runners back toward goal, we're a big chance.
Take the game on through the middle of the ground. If we dont get the fast break, we need to hit up our targets well going forward.
Kicking to packs will suit the Pies beautifully. Its exactly what their press is designed to counter.

The key though will be the midfield. We've gone from being an elite stoppage/clearance team to a rabble in the space of a pre-season. We need to sort it out ASAP or any structures/gameplans will be superfluous anyway.
Good luck to Sam Rowe and hopefully Dylan Buckley.

Blues by 11 points.
