The AFL membership dept didn't f**k around this year - I renewed on Saturday and received my membership card in the mail today, just in time for NAB Cup GF. Saves me sorting out a ticket through their service office.

I am more interested in the type of memberships we sell and the revenue we get from the membership than the actual number .We may have sold more 11game membership than other teams that have higher memberships than us but they have may have sold more 3 game.
I also believe when we move permanently to MCG we will have much more memberships but the downsize will be we will sell less reserved premium seating

Good chance to be 42k by bounce down next Thursday night

BTW hotspur, pretty sure we are in the top 3 of membership revenue in Victoria. So your point is valid....

At the end of the day, moving to the g should be based on average attendances...but let's try to reach the Hawks numbers of 3 game memberships

The club should have really been pushing the 3 game memberships hard in the last month, and over the next week if its a number they are targeting to become an MCG tenant.

Revenue will look after itself with the status quo, but we need numbers...another 10000 members.
Its great we have hit the 40K mark before the season starts but finding an extra 10000 members is going to be hard especially if we match our last years figure around June. Its a now thing before the season starts because with a new game plan and formidable opponents in the first 5 rounds we may not have a great start to the season.

All lapsed members should be phoned personally by current players....there would be 50000 lapsed members alone? Maybe. Then there's the facebook supporters who aren't members.

The 50K target can be achieved if the desire and know how is there to drive it.
Membership Dept should be more proactive and not only relying on order taking.
That's what it seems to be like to me.
