..i can dig what yer saying, but ultimately if the preseason isn't a comp truely worthy of being anything more than glorified practice matches, why have a trophy or prize money at all..?.. ..either it's a legitimate competition, or its not.. ..instead its just a cunis..

true true.
I say get rid of the trophy and the prize money. but the AFL is an industry and they make more money doing it this way, and that's all that really matters. maybe if pretending this is a proper competition to get paying customers along and NAB sponsorship dollars allows the AFL to fund taking practice games to country areas... then it's a good thing.

Yes, I agree this is only a glorified practice match, but there are only two trophies on offer each year (unless we count the McClelland trophy), so now that we're in the GF, I want to win it.

Circumstances are different to '05 & '07, but I don't see why having a decent crack with a full strength team is a bad idea. The whole point of a practice game is to get the team used to playing a game plan, so let's have our best playing to the plan.

$135 for a family of 5 to sit on level 2 to see this practice match. To go or not to go......

Has anyone heard who's playing Brisbane in the NAB Cup grand final?

There's been a lot of talk about Brisbane since Saturday night in the media. But no one's really bothered to mention their opposition.

That's for reserved premium seating. Level three family of five ticket is $60, which seems reasonable.

Should win this.

Bears are on the improve, but have only beaten GWS, GC, Hawks with about 8 of their best 22 and Collingwood with something similar.

Leunberger again in doubt, so our rucks should dominate. Bewick as a medium/small fwd kicked 4 last week, so interested to see who gets the job.

The NAB competition is like having dinner with your ex.
Why would I go
Why do we do have it at all
the only thing that matters is the future which starts in 2 weeks

to be honest I would be more inclined to go and watch us play an interclub game at Prinnie Park

This comp is bullshit and its only about the AFL sucking up the arse of one of Australia's leading banks who rip off customers and have a shit load of money anyway

as for the AFL

ruled by the dollar

the fact that this game is being played in Melbourne and not Queensland is totally wrong

will i watch it
no
I will be having dinner in the CBD building up my carbs and proteins before seeing the Mark of Cain at the Hi Fi Bar

Is Brad Pierce still a part owner of the HiFi Bar??

Was Mil Hanna also a part owner?

For those knockers that don't like , the best thing to do is ignore it .

For me , I'm glad we're in the GF , and I hope we flog 'em .

Rest the players that require a rest. Pick your best team of whats left and give it our best shot.
Every win builds that little bit of confidence and mental resilience.

Pies midfield was missing Pendles, Swan, Thomas and Ball - enough said.

Lions have improved, but Blues by plenty.
