As much as I don't like losing I didn't worry too much about losing the NAB game against Crows thinking that we could take the last hit out with some ease - but now we are in and playing at home (???) bring home another flag

I went to our flag wins in 83, 97, 05 and 06 so will drive down from Bendigo and watch this one

Go Baggers

from memory l reckon it was in 1996 Vs St Kilda (went to that at VFL Park  )

I think we may have 4 wins and 7 losses from pre-season / night grand finals (i know of recent times the losses were 96, 86, 81, 77 plus a few in the early days when the teams that didn't make the final 4 played a round robin series at the old Lakeside Oval).

It looks like it 4:7 GF ratio

wins in 83, 97, 05 & 07

losses in 56, 58, 65, 77, 81, 86 & 96

I went in '86...early July...cold, wet and very miserable. We were smashed.

No, but it is certainly wrong to have said 'to of'... :donk:

Adelaide

In fact most teams who win it usually make top 4, maybe top 6 in the real season. We were an exception.

I don't see it as a poor form guide anymore. Yes players are rotated, however if its injuries that hit a club what we see now is the depth to take those spots.

Winning the night and day premiership double is quite rare though.

I watched most of Brisbanes game last night and they appeared to be more powerfully built, and a quick side to boot.

Their ball use by hand and decision making was very good.....I think we have our work cut out on Friday night.
