So we're against the Brions.

Somewhere I saw mentioned it will be played on the Gold Coast, presumably because of the cricket season.

7.45 at Etihad on Friday.

I'd be annoyed if I were a Lions fan, given they finished top. I'm annoyed it clashes with Neil Young.

Just a guess, but I'd say Etihad, Friday, sometime around 7:45pm.

Please do not try and compare them apples.

We are talking Blues V pies in a grand final......even if it is only the nab cup.

There's no way known they would of played it at Etihad, that's the only reason they stated that it would either be on Friday or Saturday.....otherwise why say that?

Saw Neil Young in Perth last week - my advice would be go to the footy.

Like how they played an Essendon* vs. Collingwood NAB Cup GF there 2 years ago?

To be honest I completely forgot about that....

Perhaps they regret trying that out and as a result had a back up plan hence the Saturday option?

Pretty sure the MCG isn't ready to stage an AFL game right now

Last time two big Victorian teams made it through to pre season grand final was in 1993 if I remember correctly, bombers v tigers at waverly. They had said that there were around 75,000 people there (the maximum allowed due to ohs standards) when in actual fact the crowd was close to 95,000!!

I was at that. Or I should say, locked out of it with 10,000 spewing Tigers fans

To be honest I don't think a Carl/Coll final would've been as huge as some think if it'd eventuated. I really think we completely devalued the preseason comp in most fans' eyes when we won 2 of them under Pagan.

Wow, they would of topped 100,000 people if they let them in too!!

I don't think you could get away with what they did back then these days....

I was in shock when the ground manager of waverly told me!
I worked there for a few years doing security on the ground during game days, and also baby sat the ground the day after a match. I used to watch the Sunday footy show up in the corporate area, it was always special watching them review a game played out at waverly with the ground as the backdrop!

Just making sure that nobody entered the site and vandalized it essentially. Sometimes I would pull my footy out of my boot and have a few pings at the big sticks. I used to do my patrols around that walkway where you used to get the openings for all the seating areas, kind of like etihad except you used to be able to see the ground and get a rush...used to clock up as much as 60kms an hr around there, that was a unique experience!

It was pretty cool having the keys to waverly park :smoking:

..Wanknock is a dopey footballer.. ..getting smashed in the clearances, he's getting enough opportunity to get a clear tap and not once does he smash it fwd of the pack.. .. krooz looks far better in the ruck, and all the stats showing knockers to be our best ruck, only really show him up vs an injured krooz.. ..krooz is jumping again, and with his jump can possibly make up for some of his shorter stature vs knockers, who doesn't have much of a jump at all.. ..more's the point, knockers hates body contact, and thats his downfall, a ruck that isnt much for bodywork..

..knockers will become tradebait..
