By the way, l loved Jamo's two monster torps from kick outs in the last quarter. Almost to the centre each time.

Then you're going to love Tuohy and Watson's.

Both of the guys can hit the centre square regularly if given license.

With Drop Punts.

Which was kind of my point. When was the last time you saw a Carlton full back launch a big torp from the kick out?

Off the top of my head maybe Christou might have launched one or two, but the last one I can really remember was Southby.

Whether it was Docker's scrum mentality or the fact that the Blues were taking the ball wide ... after the 1st Quarter ... I found this game very boring to watch.

Early last year, a couple of times. One, perhaps against Collingwood, resulted in goal.

Don't get me wrong ... delighted we won ... even with MM!

Its just I took my daughter (for the first time in years she came with me) and the game just became boring.

That's where I think we will see his value to the team.
That's when I believe we need him playing as he did in that final at Subi in 2011....when we were robbed! Oh well, we'll make up for that with a home final against WCE and hopefully its the GF.

It was boring because by that stage, there was no chance that we could lose and then we didn't wallop them by 130 points.

I was being philosophical, mind. I just think it's far too early to accuse us of adopting a boring brand of football. The only thing that I want to see is more goals through contested marks but that has more to do with our list than Malthouse's coaching.

What you don't see on TV.....numbers, numbers and then some more numbers around and controlling the contests, particularly in the first half.
It wasn't just skill and will that got us going, it was working to a system.

Our ground positioning was very good, not quite Sydney good just yet but very good at this early stage of things.

I also recall them kicking 13 goals in a quarter. Once against the Swans or South Melb at PP. They kicked six in the first to set up a nice lead and then we kicked 13 in the second IIR. Dad and I rushed home to watch the replay and mum made us sit through 'Young Talent Time'.

That was in the days when houses only had one TV. It is the single biggest reason why I have had two TVs in my house ever since!

I enjoyed the game last week but I will admit to getting frustrated in the way we wasted shots at goal in the second half. We should have won by 100.

Impressions so far, and commenting on a few things since page 12 (all I could be bothered reading)

Everything is simpler
Levi might be my new fave player since Sticks and (ducks for cover) Campo.
Jeffrey has put on muscle
Robbo is robbo
There is a player in Frazer Dale. Hope I'm wrong, but not so sure about the Rok.
Obvious, but the side looks better with Jamo and Laidler out there.
I love defensive pressure
Sydney crowds, whether midgets or ducks, are poor and don't know how to barrack
Not there yet, but getting there. We will have a better start to the year if we are 3-2. This stuff is Mickey Maltmouse.
CK95 - dean v Serena????

Nitestraya.....
