Generally a good firstup hit out. Obviously a few scratchy moments but most improved over the course of the 4 halves.

It will be a very interesting contest between Levi and Rowe as to who gets the key forward post. But with the pair of them I think we can finally cover whenever Waite is missing

Glad to see the expectation for improvement in Mick's presser.

And lastly, that's probably the best clash strip Carlton has had - like it - although I would have thought against the Swans it would have made sense to wear our standard guernsey

One thing's for certain - Patton is going to tear the competition apart in a year or three. Absolute beast.

No, he was a mild joke according to the Smug Brigade because he couldn't kick.

Yeah, nah, I'd rate it last.

Just stick with the simple reversed white with navy monogram IMO.

Adding the navy blue to it looks weird, esp with white shorts, perhaps with navy short it might work better.

That said, I'm not losing any sleep over it.

I'm still standing by that. In the under 18 game I saw last year, he kicked like Levi Casboult. I'm not sure that I'd be drawing too many conclusions on the basis of one nice goal. After all, even Levi occasionally nails one (often the 'harder' ones too).

Couple of reasons, but the most important being I had some work to do today.

Plus, there was a good chance I'd run into Sydney Blue

We ceretainly lost nothing in letting Setanta go; he wouldn't get a game in our present group.

Hard attack on the footy, neither late nor high. I'd have been pissed off if he'd gotten so much as a reprimand for that.

..must have been an off day you witnessed, no way Hogan's kicking technique is like Levi's [hell, few are!!].. .... ..what impressed me though is how easily he could out-body his opponent, and the way he moved.. ..IF the Dee's can develop him, and then, IF they can hold onto him,, they've got a great player in the making..

..and the kid's turned 18, pretty poor he can't play this season..
