The AFL should come out and say we give our players the right to protect themselves and if you want to have a go do so at your own perril because we will back the player to the hilt. Until that happens this stuff will continue because blokes will have a go just to get the player in trouble

You must be a hell of a witness SB.

Seems that the onus is on Robbo's mate moreso, but the fact is he got involved himself in a violent manner and once again the image of the club takes a hit. Robbo has now learned that flower will try to bait him everyday, and he needs to show he'sbetter than them. Right call to give Robbo a small fine, and some community work may help to slow him down a tad. Robbo's a bit like a loyal, well-meaning dog who still wrecks the place, and sometimes just doesn't know when to relax. Glad the club's knocked it on the head and we can move on.

I have a mate in the same scenario. He's 60 now but when we were young he had more fights than feeds. Usually one punch per opponent. After trying to argue his way out the first time and getting a bit of a hiding from a small group of flower, he never failed to throw the first punch again.
He was an Army Officer and every time he put someone in hospital he felt he had to report it to his CO in case the cops got involved. They never did.
Why anybody in his or their right mind wants to take on a 6-5 rugby front rower is beyond me but they do.

Mitch isn't quite that big but he cuts a pretty imposing figure in that singlet.

I think the answer lies in the way the first bloke just stood back until Mitch was tying his laces and then the way the second bloke came over the top for the king hit when he was otherwise engaged. Two cowards.

As I understand it Dustin Martin and Lance Franklin are not far out of camera shot of the "Robbo BDO video/incident".

People who don't like Robbo as a footy player... is probably because he's harder at it than most of their playing list and they wished they had a player who went at it as hard as he did.

Mountain out of a mole hill. Dealt with perfectly by the club.

Can't believe some "news" websites put it as number one story when there's people dying in floods.

Well dealt with by club
idiotic by Robbo -grow up son you have a very limited lifespan in the game - dont need these distractions -he and Scotland have detracted from an otherwise good pre-season

Bet they were rubbing their hands together at the possibility of getting stuck into us again.

They would be rubbing their hands together more at this too.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/more-news/carlton-forward-jarrad-waite-says-blues-are-drug-free/story-e6frf9jf-1226564273161

Quote:
CARLTON forward Jarrad Waite is adamant the club is drug-free and says he would welcome daily testing to prove it.

Waite backed the AFL's three-strike drug policy but expected the league and AFLPA to closely scrutinise the self-reporting loophole at tomorrow's drugs summit.

The Herald Sun today revealed four Collingwood players allegedly dodged strikes by volunteering drug-use to club doctors.

Waite insisted Visy Park was a drug-free zone and said any player "stupid" enough to take drugs was jeopardising their football career.

In the middle of a stand off with a mob of bogans he bends down to tie up his shoe lace? Not too streetwise our Robbo.

It's like a Today Tonight story... now all we need is a con artist, a pensioner and some exorbitant utility bills.
