I'm curious as to which member(s) of the TC lynch mob was present at the Mulwala Ski Club and witnessed this '' heinous'' event,..........in it's entirety ?

it was a king hit from the footage i saw but i dont blame scotland.. if that was my brother and im really close to my brother...that guy would have copped such a beating.
i go out heaps and people on alcohol and aggressive just dont stop and sometimes a check to the head is whats needed.

i think carlton should have come out from the start suspended him for 2-3 matches and be done with that. dragging it out and letting the media get hold of it makes it worse.

I used to go out all the time when I was younger, sometimes with my brother. The thing is if you're looking for trouble it's easy to find. Sometimes it comes looking for you. I cant recall a time we ever ended up in a blue.

The best policy is to walk away from it either way, it's not that hard. If you're an AFL footballer who has aspirations of being a fireman it's a no brainier, grab your brother and leave, always.

Agree with your second point though. Should have given him weeks from the start..

..ppl are also getting fixated on this single event, when they should also consider that Snotland has a history of violence when out and about.. ..this is his 2nd time up in front of the courts for assault.. ..and there were other times that he's found himself in 'trouble'.. ..it can't always be bad luck..

..and i've been out and about for 20 years clubbing and pub crawling on the booze and party favours, [all over melbourne and abroad] and have never found myself in trouble, and i've frequented plenty of dodgey joints over the years.. ..it's quite simple, if you can't handle your booze and/or drugs and can't go out without repeatedly getting into trouble, then you really need to take a good long look at your own behaviour/attitude..

..it's this total lack of personal accountability that's the main problem..

He pleaded guilty to assault, so there's no need for any of this 'you couldn't possibly know if you weren't there' stuff. He hit a bloke (and not for the first time), pleaded guilty to hitting a bloke and begged leniency due to a spurious dream of joining the MFB (despite the MFB declaring him ineligible due to previous issues).

I wasn't there, but I reckon it's not good behaviour. I wasn't there the night Hurley assaulted a cabbie either. I don't think you have to be; that's what the courts are for.

Where did I post ''you couldn't possibly know etc'' ? In a nut shell he was asked if he hit the guy and he said ''yes''. Fine !!
What I want want to know is why he hit him. Not to difficult a question is it ?

So, Scotto's a Half Back Flanker. Right?
Do we have heaps of them?
If so, nah, lets not go there, its too serious....let the courts deal with it.

Don't bother listing Scotto in your round 1 and 2 line up.

Andrew Jarman* is saying the AFL have suspended Heath Scotland for 2 weeks.

*Jars is notoriously terrible but was 100% with his mail on Tippett in the off season.

I'll take that if its accepted by the AFL, and if Jarman is correct I'll take that too.
I'd be..........not important.

I hope it's 2 weeks: right or wrong.

Leave him to karma thereafter...but hopefully not in the GF.

If Scotlands didnt have a history of stupidity and anti social behaviour, perhaps he would have received community service as well.
Its time for the bloke to pull his head in and grow up.

Exactly.

Scotland should be rested throughout the year anyway. Missing the start of the season will be of benefit to him.

We are the AFL's puppets. So sad to watch. Can't believe we have fallen so far.

Why are we puppets?, CFC and AFL are we. It's not 2 separate entities. The club (along with the other clubs) have given the AFL the mandate to make decisions, that although may not be in our immediate best interests, are in our overall best interest (short medium and long term). How can not suspending a player (in light of the reported circumstances) be in our best interest?

OMG, you're so right, we've fallen into the 21st century where standards and expectations are totally different to what they were 30-40 years ago.

The shame.

I reckon it all started going down hill when we gave women the vote.
