Might be too early as TAC teams etc haven't been finalised but does anyone know if we have any prospects on the horizon? In the under 16 & 18's.

Not a father/son per se and not even sure if he's playing footy this year or sticking to basketball but Warren McKenzie's son Reece looks a likely type. Will turn 17 this year, so one to watch out for next year (Northern Knights). Saw him play some school footy last year (Marcellin) and there's really nothing that stands out too much about him, he just does everything well and always seems to know where to go to get the footy. A slightly taller version of Warren (who was 191cm), whom I always considered a very good footballer.

Would have been our longer term CHF if we didn't get Kernahan.

Only trouble is Doc, he fails to qualify for us His old man only played 67 games.

Hence why I started the sentence 'not a father/son per se...' which is why you assess his potential now and if you deem he's any good, you have him play CHF for Marcellin and Small Forward in the basketball somewhere in Bulleen.

Sensational hands, monster of a kid, great football brain, poor work ethic.
Dropped from the Under 16 metro squad last year purely because his fitness was relatively poor. Absolutely deserved to be there on talent but the selectors tried sending him a lesson.

He is 16 and wants to play basketball it has nothing to do with his attitude at all

Sam and Ben Reid would have added to our current spine.

The Pies and Blues would be crying over Sydney getting Tom Mitchell.

Imagine if Sydney had convinced Joe Daniher to play for the Swans instead. :yikes:

Maybe his work ethic playing footy is poor but his attitude to basketball is different
He wants to play basketball lets see how he goes at that

Perhaps. Although the fact he's quit basketball tells me I could be right.

My son played BOS? (Ben, younger son) last year and looked two years older and more talented than anyone else (except my boy of course!) and won the game for them. He's young still but looks very keen and determined. The previous year my son's team lost to his in a granny but they had SOS as coach and Daicos was there in support; my boy's lads had no chance!

TAW, I watched one of SOS' boys play last year. Played forward pocket and was a class above most others. Quite small though.
Michael Sextons lad was a fair player in his youth. Very keen Blues supporter as well but hasnt made any recent TAC squads.
